“Batter Up!” It’s time for the annual SCA Family Night at the River Cats baseball game.

With the success of the association’s 2017 Golf Tournament in the bag, we turn to some more Summer fun! As of this writing, there remain a handful of tickets to attend still available. We also have modest sponsorships open at this time. Step up to the plate and don’t strike out! We will gather a bit before game time for the opening Bar-be-que dinner that comes with each ticket. We’ll have a couple of board members serving as “Will Call” outside the gates. So, look for us there and pick up your tickets. Enjoy the game with your SCA friends and colleagues, and stay for the fireworks show afterward.

The next “chiseled in stone” event planned for the SCA Membership is the July 28 River Cats Game! This event is always well attended and a really fun time. DH Construction Named SBA “Contractor of the Year”

DH Construction has been selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration (Sacramento District Office) as the 2017 “Contractor of the Year”. The final decision was made in Washington DC, after two qualifying rounds were processed locally to narrow the field from the largest number of nominees ever received in the history of the awards. Criteria for selection included contributions to the community in addition to professional success.

Founding Partner Ralph Dinwiddie received his California General Contractor’s license in 1978. He established DH Construction in 1992, choosing to specialize in insurance claim-related reconstruction after experiencing the strong emotional impact often connected to this type of project. “Destruction of their home has caused grown men to openly weep in his arms,” he said. Realizing he could achieve powerful positive outcomes, Mr. Dinwiddie has carefully built his team to project empathy & professional-

ism with this often fragile clientele. Now licensed in Nevada as well, DH Construction covers the greater Reno area, south to Stockton and north to Redding.
