TUESDAY Years 3&4

AFTER SCHOOL: Cooking Club

Are you a budding chef? Do you like to cook your own meals or entertain others? In this club you will learn to prepare and make a range of recipes, one week in the Food Technology Room where you will be able to bake and cook some tasty foods and in the next week, in a classroom where you will prepare recipes such as smoothies, salads, sandwiches, wraps, couscous dishes and more! Recipes will be emailed to parents the week before the club. Parents will need to support their child in this club by buying the relevant ingredients and helping their child measure and prepare them the evening before the club.

BSAK Tournament Of the Minds Club (TOMs)

TOMs is an exciting enrichment program that gives you the opportunity to complete STEM based challenges in small teams; e.g. Language and Literature, The Arts, STEAM, Mathematics, Technology and Social Sciences. To further enhance the challenge we add a competitive element to it as the teams will present their challenges at the end of the Term in an in-school competition. Through this experience you will develop your problem solving and critical thinking skills, whilst also developing your team work, leadership and time management skills.

It’s great fun and supports you to think in diverse ways about a range of engaging challenges.

Jewellery Making Club

Do you like designing and making things? Are you creative? Do you like jewellery? This one's for you!

Islamic Movies Club

Used creatively, films can help develop children's cognitive abilities, including long-term memory, maintaining focus, developing logic and reasoning and using visual and auditory processing. Amongst other things, the children will learn a range of vocabulary and associated pronunciation from conversations focused around Islamic movies.

Junior Duke Awards

Children in the Junior Duke Awards complete a range of personal challenges including First Aid, learning to swim, cookery, domestic challenges, caring for others, making a presentation, learning words and phrases in a new language, Eco challenges, drama, sewing and many other fun things! It’s all about challenge and life skills. To note, some of the activities will need to be completed at home.
