INTRODUCTION
January 2023 saw the completion of the new Science and Innovation Centre, which will soon be ready for use, following compliance approvals. While anticipation is growing for the launch of this exciting new building, it isn’t the only change that is planned for next termthere is plenty more being completed over the summer break. Take a look at the exciting developments coming in September 2023.

Exciting plans are in progress for our award-winning Sixth Form facilities to expand working, social and meeting spaces. This will give our Sixth Form students a facility more akin to that of a university, supporting their transition when they leave BSAK.

Our current science labs will be completely renovated and transformed into 9 new classrooms for the following departments:

FEMALE ABLUTION AND PRAYER ROOM
Currently, the female prayer room and ablution room are in the Primary School. The science expansion allows the School to provide both of these rooms within the Secondary School.
They will be located on the 1st floor and very accessible.
SPORTS FACILITIES
The PE & Sports Department are excited that they will be starting the new academic year with a complete refurbishment of all sports facilities. This includes:
● Renovation and upgrade of both sports halls
● Resurfacing of the main school pitch with the latest 4G astroturf & resurfacing of the two Primary astro turf areas including the Primary mini pitch.
● The netball court surface will be renewed
● A complete refit of the school fitness suite.
SECONDARY PITCH
Full renovation of the pitch has already taken place: Professional football and rugby turf, with sand and rubber infill FIFA and IRB approved surface
SECONDARY SPORTS HALL
Secondary Sports Hall - Resurface and installation of safety padding
NETBALL COURTS
Refurbishment of surface, High spec competition standard surface
Game line marking with school logo inlay.
NEW FITNESS SUITE
The fitness suite will become a modern and state-of-the-art space, enabling the reintroduction of strength and conditioning for our sixth formers, alongside our curriculum and co-curricular programmes.
