ENGLISH:
Genres- Stories from Other Cultures, Instructions and Adventure Stories Vocabulary - identifying digraphs, decoding and blending - pl, st, cr, gl, tr consonant blends and application to challenging words. Grammar – pronouns; adverbial phrases and fronted adverbials; speech punctuation; review of accurate sentence punctuation. Speaking and Listening - debate; collaboration; giving constructive feedback; speaking aloud with volume, tone, clarity and expression.
MATHS:
Multiplication and Division - recall of 3, 4 & 8 multiplication tables; making groups using arrays; using written strategies for two digit numbers times by one digit numbers. Statistics - interpret and present data using bar charts, pictograms & tables. Length & Perimeter - measure, compare, add & subtract lengths, mass, capacity; measure the perimeters of simple 2D shapes.
SCIENCE:
Humans Including Animals Identify that animals, including humans, need the right types and amount of nutrition, and that they cannot make their own food; they get nutrition from what they eat. Understand that humans and some other animals have skeletons and muscles for support, protection and movement. Science: Plants Identify and describe the functions of different parts of flowering plants Explore the requirements of plants for life and growth and how they vary from plant to plant. Investigate the way in which water is transported within plants. Understand the life cycle of flowering plants.
COMPUTING:
Programming: Understanding what algorithms are & writing commands. Create and debug simple programs.
ART & DESIGN:

GEOGRAPHY: Use maps, atlases, globes and digital/computer mapping to locate countries and describe features. Use the eight points of a compass and fieldwork to observe, measure, record and present the human and physical features in the local area.
UK and UAE Study: name and locate counties and cities of the United Kingdom and UAE; compare human and physical characteristics, key topographical features (including hills, mountains, coasts and rivers), and land-use patterns; explore how some of these aspects have changed over time.
