MUSIC
Ukulele Skills
Throughout this unit, students will learn the basics about ukuleles, learn the chord positions and some strumming patterns. Towards the end of the term, they will combine all skills learnt this academic year to create a performance.
MATHS
● Perimeter, Area & Volume- perimeter of shapes; shapes with the same area. Find the area of triangles; parallelogram and find the volume of cuboids.
● Statistics - read, interpret and draw line graphs. Read and interpret pie charts; pie charts with percentages; and find the the mean.
● Properties of Shapes- measure with a protractor; calculate angles; vertically opposite angles; angles in a triangle/special quadrilaterals/regular polygons; draw nets of 3D shapes.
● Geometry - Plotting coordinates on a four quadrant table graph. Translating and reflecting shapes on a graph and solving problems involving coordinates.
