FIRE SAFETY PROCEDURES ♦ Headteacher or person in charge to ring Fire Brigade. ♦ As adults leave building close all doors & windows if possible. ♦ Teaching assistants to check classroom cloakrooms before leaving the building by nearest viable exit. ♦ Headteacher to check Hall and Servery and leave the building through nearest viable exit. ♦ Secretary to check Staffroom, staff and disabled cloakrooms. ♦ Teachers to lead children via nearest viable exit out to playground to line up. ♦ Secretary to collect registers, visitors book, pupil signing in register, pupil contacts folder, keys to the side gate and leave by nearest viable exit. ♦ Teachers to call registers in the playground. Secretary to advise teachers of children who have arrived or left since registration from the signing in register. ♦ Headteacher to address the school and in fire practices, authorise children and staff's return to building. ♦ No person to return to building without authority from the Headteacher or Senior Fire officer.
