Notice Board Breakfast Club Please can we remind parents who make use of the breakfast club, provided by school, that children should be brought into Breakfast club via the double doors at the back of the hall. The gate to the playground will be unlocked in time for the children to be brought in this way. We must ask that you use this entrance as we cannot guarantee that there will be anyone in the office to let children in through the main entrance. May we also please remind you that breakfast club does not start until 8am. Staff are busy setting up for the day prior to this time and therefor cannot supervise any children arriving early.
After School Clubs
Drop--In School Nurse Drop
Due to parents evening next week (week commencing 3rd March) there will not be any after school clubs for the whole week. All clubs will resume as usual the following week.
The next School Nurse drop in is on Tuesday 19th March at 8.50am. Please let the office or one of the class teachers know if you would like to make an appointment to see Sarah. You can also just pop in on the day.
Thank you for your understanding!
Head Lice We have had several cases of head lice reported in school. This is a problem that keeps recurring, and is causing distress to both our children and their parents. We would be grateful if you could check your child's hair regularly and treat if necessary. We would also like to suggest that long hair is tied back which will help prevent the spread further. We have been advised that the treatment for head lice can be obtained on prescription via your GP. Thank you.

F.O.S We are planning to hold this years Easter Festival on Thursday 3rd April. Our aim is for it to start directly after school finishes. We will run a selection of games and stalls as we have done previously—including the chocolate tombola, for which there will be a non-uniform day on the 3rd April and the children can bring in a chocolate donation. As well as the above, we would like to organise an ‘Easter Bonnet Parade’ where the children can design and make Easter Bonnets to bring along to the festival for showing. Finally for now, we are going to run a ‘decorate an egg’ competition, where the children can decorate a hard-boiled egg in any design of their choice and we will award prizes for the best effort. More information will follow!

WHERE? Blandford St Mary Primary School WHEN? Wednesday 12th March Time? 3.15pm to 5.30pm Cost? We suggest a donation of £1 per child Messy Church is: A place for families; where parents, grandparents, carers come along to with their children. It’s a place where we can talk about things that matter to us. It’s a place where we can grow together as a family. Messy Church will take us on a journey of discovery: through the activities we’ll learn more about God, each other and ourselves. Each Messy Church will include a story from the Bible, craft, games, music and we’ll also have a chance to sit down with each other for tea. During the session there will be time when we are all together and some time when we can be in separate age groups. We are inviting you to Messy Church run by your local Church and Mothers’ Union, in partnership with Blandford St Mary Primary School. We hope to see you there! From the Messy Church Team
