On a recent trip to my hometown Norfolk, Virginia I drove pass one of the highlights of my youth. It was a place where my friends and I would visit after a long week of test, trials, and pop quizzes. A week full of chores and built up sexual energy from views of se beautiful girls walking down the hallway in high school. At the end of the week we would visit Military Circle Mall.
Military Circle Mall was in the perfect location right between Norfolk and Virginia Beach on the ‘boulevard.’ I had many memories there including several nights at “Flipper McCoys” ,the teen arcade where everyone would show off their cars and latest fashions. Where I would show off my high score on the basketball shoot out, though my basketball skills on the court had some catching up to do. It’s with these experiences that my passing this staple in our community meeting its financial demise was heart wrenching. Military Circle Mall was as empty as the comments and likes section on a whack selfie. It was ghost. I recall counting about 10 people including store clerks. It was shortly after this visit that I received an email about Radio Shack having 75% off of everything in the store. The AUX cable in my car is an example. I copped three of those bad boys for $1.25 each and a rack of
double A batteries. Soon after that Ascena Retail Group (ASNA), the parent company of Lane Bryant and Ann Taylor announced that it was closing 250 stores and possibly 400 more if they couldn't get their rent lowered. Their stock price as writing of this sentence is of the w down -68% to a whopping $1.97 per share. Along with Lane Bryant, many of the other favorites are considering closing. Sears, K-Mart and over 6700 other store closings announced this year previously set all time topping the p record in 2008 of over 6100 store closings. Billionaire Warren Buffet says “The department store is online now ” and he proved this by selling $900 million of his stock in Walmart whose current stock price is at $97 per share compared to the current online Queen Amazon at $1100 retailer Qu per share.

We are in the age of E-tail and online merchants are e-Twerking. Bloggers and Digital Influencers are making a living In promoting E-tail and merchants love it.
