旭日出东方，光弥宇宙；百花开大地，春满人间 。在2022年的新年即将到来之际，我谨代表新加 坡佛牙寺理事会全体同仁，向护法善信和各界朋 友致以衷心的感谢和最诚挚的祝福！
The rising sun from the east, and the light fills the universe; a hundred flowers bloom on the earth, and the world is full of spring. As the New Year in 2022 is approaching, on behalf of the management committee of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple Singapore, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to all the faithful Darmapala and friends.
在过去的一年里，面对的疫情严峻的冲击，寺院 的经济和发展受到了很大的影响。虽然疫情严重 ，在政府的支持下，在社会善信的帮助下，经过 全寺僧伽及员工的共同努力，心手相连、风雨同 舟，一起渡过一个又一个难关。我们知道的背后 ，凝聚着全体员工朋友的智慧和汗水，倾注了大 家的心血和奉献，本寺对此表示衷心感谢!
In the past year, facing the severe impact of the epidemic, the economy and development of our temple have been greatly affected. Although the epidemic is serious, with the support of the government, with the help of social faith, and the joint efforts of the whole monastery sangha and employees, our hearts are connected with each other, together we go through the storms, to tide over one difficulty after another. Behind what we know is the wisdom and sweat of all employees and friends, and they have put in all their hard work and dedication. The temple expresses its heartfelt thanks for this.
疫情让我重新认识自已，人生茫茫，不过平凡一 人耳！病毒只是路过，却让你体会，生命真的没 有那么长。死亡，其实就是分分钟的事情。来是 偶然的，走是必然的。所以你必须，随缘不变， 不变随缘。
The epidemic has made me know myself again, and life is unpredictable, we are an ordinary people. The virus just passes by, but it makes you realize that life is really not that long. Death is actually a matter of minutes. Birth is accidental, and death is inevitable. So you have to let it be if things stay still, and stay still to let it be.
只有身体健康，我们才能痛快活着；只要家人健 康，我们就是人生赢家。生活中并不是全是艰辛 和困难，它同时存在舒适与欢乐；就像我们经历 的季节，严冬过后是春天，风雪过后即是艳阳天。
Only when we are healthy can we live happily; as long as our family is healthy, we are the winners in life. Life is not all hardships and difficulties, it has both comfort and joy; just like the seasons we experience, spring is after the severe winter, and the sun is after the wind and snow.
拥有一颗无私的爱心，便拥有了一切。愿在新的 一年里：身体安康，违缘消灭，顺缘增长，广闻 深思，勤修佛法，六时吉祥！
With a selfless love, you have everything. Wishing all good health in the coming New Year, destruction of bad destiny, growth of good destiny, wide-range learning and deep thinking, diligent practice of Dharma, and auspiciousness at all times.

It is impossible to grow into a big tree without going through wind and rain; it is difficult to become steel without being refined. We have to imagine more beautiful things, such as health and strength, wealth and happiness, and drive those poverty, diseases, fears and anxiety out of our spiritual world, just like dumping trash far away from home. 佛陀说：欲望，是痛苦的根源。学佛 者必须离欲，远离欲望，离欲则与佛 道相应。欲望如胶如漆，是障道因缘 ，有了欲望在心就没有道心，有道心 就没有欲望的心。不能同时有二心， 有了二心修行就不能入道。 The Buddha said: Desire is the source of pain. Those who learn Buddhism must be free from desire, and free from desire that corresponds to Buddhism. Desire is like glue and lacquer, it is the cause and condition of obstacles. If there is desire in the heart, there is no Tao mind, and if there is Tao mind, there is no desire mind. A person who always looks at the shortcomings of others is not good enough because he has no time to review himself. The heart is like a soil, it depends on how you cultivate and how you choose. Do not ask outside the body when you are in the Buddha's direction. The delusion of self-nature is the sentient beings, and self-consciousness is the Buddha. If one cannot give up the ignorance of the past would not enter the hall of wisdom. Practicing is to maintain an enlightened heart in daily life, live at this moment, and live with peace of mind.
