LA TAGLIA GIUSTA PER ME THE RIGHT SIZE FOR ME
L’importanza di montare sulla bicicletta una sella che si adatti perfettamente alla nostra struttura fisica non va mai sottovalutata. Ecco perché Selle Italia mette a nostra disposizione 6 varianti di taglia da scegliere. Ma come si fa a capire qual è la sella giusta per noi? Qui entra in gioco l’innovativo sistema di misurazione idmatch. Tramite idmatch Smart Caliper, una sorta di sofisticato calibro pelvico con algoritmo interno, vengono rilevati e inseriti in un software i dati antropometrici relativi alla distanza tra le due grandi tuberosità ischiatiche (detta distanza intertrocanterica), al diametro delle cosce e all’inclinazione/rotazione del bacino. Il risultato finale ci indicherà la sella davvero perfetta per l’uso che ne faremo, praticamente fatta “su misura” per noi.

The importance of fitting a saddle that suits our physical structure perfectly should never be underestimated. That’s why Selle Italia provides us 6 size variations to choose. But, how can we find out which is the right saddle for us? Here comes the innovative idmatch measuring system. Using the idmatch Smart Caliper, a kind of sophisticated pelvic gauge with an internal algorithm, we can measure the anthropometric data relating to the distance between the two large ischial tuberosities (known as the intertrochanteric distance) and enter this into a software together with our thigh diameter and the inclination/rotation of the pelvis. The end result will tell us which is the really perfect saddle for the type of use we want: practically a “made-to-measure� saddle just for us.

Measurement of the Intertrochanteric Distance We define intertrochanteric distance as the measurement interval between the two major tuberosities of the femur; this distance is critical to the study of pelvis. idmatch uses Smart Calipers to obtain it.
Measurament of thigh diameter The diameter of the thigh compared with the intertrochanteric distance is used to determine the space between the thight and define the shape of the saddle best suited for each person.

The Sp-01 Boost is a state-of-the-art saddle: for a new, dynamic and aggressive cycling, a perfect synthesis of performance and comfort. Its special “short fit” follows the so-called “suspension link movement”, an exclusive technology previously applied to the SP-01, which includes two rear parts independent from each other that move following the movements of the sit bones. The result incredibly reduces and in some cases eliminates the effect of the other cushioning components on the bike. This extreme ability to adapt responds to performance needs, but also to style, recalling with elegance designs and contours from the world of cars.

La X-LR si contraddistingue per la specifica inclinazione del naso, particolarmente proteso in avanti al fine di garantire una maggiore libertà di seduta durante la corsa. The first is the Climb Control technology, which can be identified by its specific icon: it features a slight rise on the back end of the saddle to prevent the rider from slipping backwards. Thanks to Climb Control, the ideal position of the body on the saddle does not change, guaranteeing comfort and efficient pedalling in every situation.
