INKY THE CLOWN What’s more fun that a clown I ask you. Nothing , nothing I say. Clowns are the most ultimate fun you can have. While not many exist in the wild today there is one living in Mississippi and he is known far and wide as INKY THE CLOWN. He’s been a professional clown for over thirty five years. If you think it’s easy being a clown try juggling bowling balls for a few minutes and that will change your mind. INKY lives in the Jackson area…. there may even be some Patterson film footage of him walking thru a mall and twisting his body toward the camera before disappearing behind the toy isles. It’s fuzzy and it’s hard to make out. You can see INKY for yourself at libraries all over MS during the summer and events at the Jackson Zoo and many other events and festivals but let’s talk to the man… uh, Clown himself.

BUBBA: First question, who’s your favorite dictator ? and the follow up question, why do you have a favorite dictator? INKY: My favorite Dictator is Charlie Chaplin in the movie The Great Dictator! The scene where he juggles the globe/earth is by far one of my top 5 favorite movie scenes ever! BUBBA: That is so the best answer that I have ever gotten to that question. Tell the readers how you came up with the name INKY. INKY: My name “Inky The Clown”? Let’s get serious for a moment. My father the Reverend Arthur Roebuck owned a printing company called Natick Printing Company up in Massachusetts. He bought the business off his father! So I grew up as a P.K. “Printers Kid”. I went to Natick Printing on almost a daily bases! It was the first job I ever had! As homage to my Dad and our family business. ink = Inky!!!

BUBBA: What did you do before you became a professional Clown? INKY: The ole Inkster started his Illustrious Career in 1980! I was but a boy of 18 years old! And have been clowning around ever since! I have had a few other jobs though. I was a Printer as I said earlier, and I spent many years as a Libation Chemist! BUBBA: When did you decided Clowning was what you needed to do? INKY: I decided that Clowning was what I needed to do when the Goverment gave me that choice in the Witness Protection Program they put me in…..and that is all I can say about that! BUBBA: How do you ride that tiny, tiny bike with those big shoes and not tip over? INKY: How do I ride that tiny bike? Right off the bat, I call that little bike the Runt! And let me tell you. It looked a lot bigger in the catalog!!! But, actuality to not tip over wile riding…It takes a blend of helium and strategically place magnets. BUBBA: How far around the state do you wind up traveling for events? INKY: I travel all over this fine state of Mississippi! Inky is happy to go anywhere people might need some “Comedy-Clown-Relief”! I also perform many annual gigs out of state as well! Summer Reading Programs at the Libraries take me to every corner of the state! FUN FUN FUN !

BUBBA: Perfect. Tell us some of the kind of things you normally do during a show or event. INKY: During my show, which I call Inky The Clown’s Half Ring Circus!!! You can look forward to JUGGLING! MAGIC! CLOWNING! and COMEDY! And BALLOON ANIMALS GALORE! Hey, did I mention COMEDY? BUBBA: Are most of your friends magicians, cartoonists, writers, artists and puppeteers or is that just being stereotypical? And if they are , why do you hang out with weirdos like that? INKY: Actually YES! Most of my friends are Magicians, Cartoonists, Writers, Artists, Puppeteers, and Cosplayers! I really enjoy the weather on the Island of Misfit Toys!!! BUBBA: Tell the fine readers anything I may have miss and your website and any contact info you would like to share in case they need a clown for their event or wedding. INKY: Well, Thank you Bubba! I really enjoy our interview! And if anyone needs any more information on yours truly – Inky The Clown They can go to my Website www.inkytheclown.com or E-mail me inky@inkytheclown.com or check me out on FACEBook @Inky The Clown!

COSPLAY WITH CAMI There once was a young girl who liked to dress up.... as Rouge from the X-Men.... thus began her fascination with cosplaying. Cami Roebuck is a cosplayer , and I dare say she's a genius at it. What's cosplay you ask? Well, it's people that put a lot of time and effort into making costumes based on their favorite characters from t.v. Shows, movies, comics, history.... just about anything you can imagine. If you've ever been to a comic convention it's all the people walking around in costumes. A few people get so good at it that they can actually make it a career. Tha's what Cami Roebuck is doing with her family as they make it a business that the whole family is a part of. They use to use the name MoodHairCosplays but has since decided to brand it as Cami Roebuck Creative. You can find her at cons thruout the south where she's usually an invited guest. She will have a different outfit for each day of the con and the outfit will look like it walked right off a movie set somewhere. She also has a talent for staying and portraying the character that she is dressed as. It's more than just the costume to her. She will usually have a booth that you can buy prints of her as the different characters and

all sorts of different geek creations such as geek pillows and bags and just an array of geeky goodness which they make and market thru their MHC Workshop. If you can't make it to one of the cons she's at you can still check out her goods online and buy them at her website http://www.camiroebuckcreative.com/home.html just click the shop button when you're there. It's a family affair. Her mom and dad and even her boyfriend all have a hand in the workshop making the geeky goodies and they all work together putting together the costumes and hand making props to go along with them. Even boyfriend Derek cosplays with her and sometimes all four of them will be in costume. They are a fun family I tell you what. It would have to be if your dad is a clown. That's right, her dad is local legend Inky the Clown. Her mum (as Cami calls her ) T. D. Roebuck, is a local artist and business owner and was one of the judges at this year's Pensacon. ( Look for an article on her in a future issue. ) If you happened to be able to go to Pensacon 2017 then you would have seen her there walking around on Friday with her boyfriend Derek as Pyramid Head and herself as a nurse from Silent Hill. Saturday she wore her Plague-Bearer Izanami, and Sunday they dressed as Ninja and Yolandi of Die Antwoord The first year of Pensacon she even won 2nd place in the costume contest as Effie in the Butterfly Dress from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Speaking of contests she was in The Smite World Championships and HiRez Expo's Costume Competition. Cami won 3rd place in the Legendary Tier (which was the top tier) with her Plague-Bearer Izanami. If you missed her at Pensacon you can catch her at these shows MS ANIME FESTIVAL - MARCH 11th in Jackson, MS, MISSISSIPPI COMIC CON - JUNE 24th -25th in Jackson, MS, LOUISIANA COMIC CON: SBC - APRIL 22nd -23rd in Shreveport LA. She will announce others as they finalize on her website so keep an eye out there. For all you budding cosplayers out there we plan to have a q&a session with Cami in a later issue.

PENSACON 2017

Pensacon is a con in Pensacola, Florida that just had their 4th year and it's everything you could want in a con. It 's a con that cares more about the fan's experience and their guests well being than they do themselves. If you've never been to a comic con then start with this one in 2018 , if you have been to a comic con check this one out it will surprise you. Doctor Who fans are never disappointed, they've have had guests from the new and old shows each year. The last three years they have had different Doctors from the original series. This year was the 7th Doctor, Sylvester McCoy and also Sophie Aldred who played Ace on the show with Sylester. They had Walking Dead celebrities, Star Trek, the Flash, Wrestlers, Writers, Comic Book Artists.... the list goes on... they even had the Fonz himself Henry Wrinkler.

What's cooler than a Tardis in the Hotel Lobby? Not much I tells ya. They put on a fantastic show every year. Then you have the after con hours events. The costume contest, Match Game with celebrities hosted by Mike Ensley, Drink & Draw in the hotel Lobby, Panels... the list goes on. Another Great think about this con is that the whole town of Pensacola gets involved in it. They will block off a street in downtown on Saturday night, the restuarants around town will have Harry Potter or Game of Thrown themes and just about any type of theme you would want. Even the airport changes their name to the Intergalactic Airport of Pensacola for that month. They even change their signs to Stargates with silhouettes of recognizable sci fi ships. You should really check out Artist Alley. They have the greats like Stephen Butler, Mitch Byrd, Roland Paris, Scott Shaw, Steve Scott, John Dell and many more. They have plenty of independents around Artist Alley also, I should know... I'm one of them. It's a great con experience and you can check them out at http://pensacon.com . They have already announced Lou Ferrigno ( the Incredible Hulk ) as a guest for 2018 already. I'll see ya there.

DOX BOOK RELEASE Soon I will be releasing a new book from BubbaWorld Comix but it won't be a comic this time. It will be a sci fi novel I wrote nearly ten years ago. I have often said that, “Time has no meaning to one such as I which might be why I'm always burning my biscuits. I have meant to release it before now but was planning to either do it as a series of graphic novels or as a very illustrated novel. I've decided to just go ahead and release it as a regular novel. The only thing I have to do is make the cover for it. The reason I need to release it now is , I plan to add an ongoing sci fi serial comic to this magazine. Each month you will get 3 to 5 pages of an ongoing story. I also plan to have it as a

sequel of sorts to the DOX book. There may be a few hints here and there and then some things that will leave no doubt that it's the same universe. The DOX novel will be available at my Lulu store at http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/bubbaworldcomixatgmaildotcom So keep an eye out there in the next few weeks for it's release. It will be available in print and as a pdf both for purchase there. If you like sci fi, time travel, ugly mean scary aliens, nice not so ugly aliens, and adventure mixed with humor then this is the book for you. If you don't like these things then you need to change your ways cause you won't be truly happy till you have these things in your life. It will make you more interesting too. I've provided some pics of some of the characters that you will read about in the book so check them out, have fun, get the book when it comes out and have a little insight to the serial comic when it starts in this magazine. Be sure to check it out.
