No Shave November is a month-long event that takes place every November, during which people are encouraged to forego shaving and grooming in order to raise awareness about cancer and cancer prevention. The goal of No Shave November is to grow out one’s facial hair, or to let other body hair grow, as a way to challenge social norms and to promote cancer education and research.

The origins of No Shave November can be traced back to 2009, when a group of friends in Chicago decided to raise money for cancer research by participating in the event. The idea quickly caught on, and No Shave November has since become a global phenomenon, with millions of people participating each year.

People participate by simply deciding to stop shaving their facial hair or other body hair for the entire month of November. Others may choose to let their hair grow out, but still maintain some level of grooming, such as trimming their beard or moustache.

Another goal is to raise money for cancer research and treatment. Many people who participate in No Shave November do so as a way to show their support for those who are battling cancer, and to raise funds to help support cancer research and treatment efforts. This can be done through a variety of means, such as making a donation to a cancer charity, participating in a fundraiser, or simply by spreading the word about No Shave November and encouraging others to get involved.
