JANUARY 25-26 DISCUSSION VOLUNTEER SUPPORT CALL NOTES VOLUNTEER SUPPORT CALL Summary of Volunteer Discussion: Issue/Concern: A veteran is working on filing a claim for PTSD as a result of witnessing a violent crime that happened on a base many years ago. Is there a way to access the records to prove this event occurred and that the veteran witnessed it? Suggestions/Resolution: Some records may be able to be accessed through the Army’s CID website: http://www.cid.army.mil/crc.html. Issue/Concern: Does anybody have information about the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans? Suggestions/Resolution: Brief internet research suggests that it’s more of a policy/advocacy organization than a direct services organization. Sometimes www.guidestar.org can provide good information on charities.
