An electrical malfunction at a local apartment complex in Greater Inwood caused a fire to break out in between two of the apartment units last week, according to the Houston Fire Depart - ment. Nobody was reported injured as a result of the fire, according to the department.
HFD said crews from stations 13, 15, 4, 5, 50, 66, 67, 62 and 30 responded to an apartment complex in the 5700 block of Thousand Oaks
Circle just after 2:30 a.m. on March 21 to discover light smoke coming from a two-story apartment building.
After putting out the fire that had broken out between two of the apartment units on the firewall, the department said arson investigators later determined that an electrical short had caused the fire and smoke to break out. There was no immediate estimate available as to how much of the apartment units’ property was damaged or saved, according to the fire department.
