Acres Homes Park to host family fun day April 8

Families looking for outings next weekend can make their way out to a local park in Acres Homes.

Sylvester Turner Park, 2800 W. Little York Rd., will host its 15th annual Family Fun Day at the park from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, April 8 according to the city.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature live entertainment from groups such as J. Paul Jr. and the Zydeco Nubreeds, and there will also be other live entertainment as well as family activities, food and drink, and baseball games. Free parking and shuttle service will be available from Carver High School (2100 S. Victory Dr.) as well as Lone Star College’s North Houston Victory campus at 4141 Victory Dr. Parking (but no shuttle service) will also be available at Living Word Fellowship Church, 7350 T.C. Jester Blvd.
