As seen in the news, BSRE will be welcoming Sheetz into the portfolio. Sheetz will be positioned directly in front of Bursca Business Park in South Fayette Township. The popular food and gas chain will open its doors at the end of 2019, bringing buzz and excitement to the entrance of the park. Next door to the future Sheetz site, you may have noticed construction occurring on the hillside and lower lot. Burns Scalo Development is in the process of leveling off and constructing “The Shoppes at Bursca�, a 14,000 SF Class A retail center with space for up to four businesses along Washington Pike. Stay tuned for more exciting news to come in the new year.

Raising the Bar! On September 25, 2018 The Riviera hosted BSRE’s first ever Steel Raising Ceremony. At the podium for the event was County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, City Councilman R. Daniel Lavelle, URA Board Chair Kevin Acklin, and President & CEO of Burns Scalo Real Estate, Jim Scalo. They gave positive and exciting remarks surrounding the spectacular project happening in South Oakland. The ceremony proceeded with the signing of a logoed steel beam, symbolically making a mark on The Riviera. After a photo opportunity the beam was hoisted up, placed and secured on the building forming part of what will be the 3rd floor.

BSRE Buys Back Fountainhead For The Second Time Fifteen years ago, at the front entrance of Southpointe Phase 1, BSRE developed and owned the beautiful 90,000 SF Fountainhead office building. Over time the company sold the property but always retained the facility management, leasing, and development. The history and quality of this office building was attractive to BSRE, so when the opportunity arose to purchase Fountainhead back, the organization jumped on it. Jim Scalo, President & CEO of BSRE stated,
“I am excited to have the opportunity to buy back the best building in the park. It sits proudly at the front door of Southpointe.”
On October 9, 2018, for the second time, BSRE closed on The Fountainhead. The building is currently 100% leased, occupied by Crown Castle, NVR, and Ayco.
Cedar Ridge Remains Strong Under New Ownership Cedar Ridge Business Park in Robinson transferred ownership in the fall of 2018 and is now owned by GoRealty. Business has remained as usual for tenants here due to the retention of both Burns Scalo’s Management & Brokerage teams. Please continue to contact your Field Technicians with any inquires via Landport the same as before. BSRE swapped leasing agents at Cedar Ridge and Kelley Hoover Heckathorne now heads up all renewals or expansion needs moving forward.

Ansys Expands in Zenith Ridge Ansys Inc., currently headquartered on BSRE’s Zenith Ridge campus in Southpointe, signed another lease at Zenith Ridge 2 this past summer. The engineering tech giant will be expanding into the entire 5th floor and plan to build out a spectacular innovative Class A office space. Ansys’s lease positioned the Zenith Ridge campus at 100% occupancy, a tremendous win for BSRE.
ADP Doubles in Size at The Dakota The Dakota has been home to ADP ever since the Class A office building came into BSRE’s portfolio in 2016. ADP encompassed 60,000 SF of workspace at the Dakota, and chose to double in size, expanding to 120,000 SF just this year. Their fresh, new buildout features bright colors, collaborative areas, café’s comfortable seating and more. In 2018, the on-site fitness center, equipped with locker rooms, has been fully utilized and the full-service cafeteria is back up and running. The cafeteria is catered by Tootsie’s Diner from 7am – 2pm, Monday – Friday. The Dakota is expansive and also home to Radian Title Service on the second floor, who occupies roughly 40,000 SF of beautiful, newly built-out office space.
