Butler wasn’t on Mikayla Eaton’s radar until the winter of her senior year of high school when she heard about the University from a friend and decided to come for a campus tour. “As cliche as it sounds, I fell in love with Butler halfway through the tour. I could picture myself there for the next four years, and that’s when I knew I had to enroll.”

Her experiential learning opportunities didn’t stop there. Eaton also completed a sales co-op with Johnson & Johnson in Chicago during the fall semester of her senior year. While there, she helped develop and launch digital microsites for Walgreens Beauty Advisors, created sales dashboards, and analyzed data to build sales stories.

As a Marketing major with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Eaton served as the CEO for two student-run businesses through the Lacy School of Business’ First-Year Business Experience and Real Business Experience. “I had the opportunity to develop leadership, sales, and presentation skills that set me up for real-life business scenarios.”

Eaton earned a full-time job offer with Johnson & Johnson during her senior year after finishing her co-op. She now lives in Chicago and works as a sales analyst for the company’s top consumer brands: Neutrogena, Aveeno, Listerine, and Johnson’s Baby.

“I have so many memorable experiences from my time at Butler, and it really does fly by so quickly. I tried to take every opportunity I was given, and know that all of it—my experiences in the Lacy School of Business, my involvement in various student organizations, and even all-night study sessions with my best friends—contributed to my success post-graduation.”
