Lettsome International Airport 1. INTRODUCTION The Government of the British Virgin Islands (GOBVI)-an overseas Territory of Great Britain-, the owner and operator of the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport operates the airport facility through the BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA). The BVI Airports Authority was on 15th August 2005 incorporated under the BVI Business Companies Act, 2004. Its registered Office is situated at Harney Westwood and Riegels, Craigmuir Chambers, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. It is an autonomous body created by virtue of the Virgin Islands Airports Act, 2003 which was assented to on 2nd March 2004. The Act provides for the operating of airports in the Virgin Islands as commercial undertakings and other matters connected therewith. The Government of the British Virgin Islands (GOBVI) is moving into the next phase of development to create a unique intermodal transportation center which will be developed as the first of its kind in the Eastern Caribbean to deliver a memorable, world-class and environmentally compatible and sustainable development which will include the following Key Elements/components:
