Blasting off! In this program we’ll find out how our years, seasons, and days can be predicted by the orbit of our planet around the sun. Farm to Table Fables New!

Where does our food come from? In this workshop we’ll learn about everything that goes into making you a plate of fresh food, from seed to harvest. Then we’ll get the chance to plant our own seeds and taste something made with fresh, in season produce and herbs! Min 4 | Max 9. (LS)

Chicken Murder Mysteries New!

Discover the local predatory animals that attempt to prey on our chickens. Meet one of our chickens, inspect a pelt and find out more about the animal food chain. Min 4 | Max 9. (LS)

Busse Woods Bike Trip New!

Join us for a supported bike trip through the Ned Brown Preserve (Busse Woods). Featuring a 7.6 mile paved trail, several beautiful water features, pavilions, and gorgeous woodlands, Busse Woods creates the perfect space for enjoying a bike ride at a relaxed pace. After we finish our loop, we’ll have a boxed lunch from Shorty’s before heading home. Transportation for you and your bike will be provided by the Park District. Craft Box

Express your creativity, learn a new skill, and have fun with our craft box! Twice a month a carefully curated box of supplies to make a fun craft will be prepared and available for pick-up at the Deer Grove Leisure Center. Prices are per box. (LS)

Experience the fun of a camping trip from the comfort of your own living room. We’ll provide everything you need for this camping staycation, from materials to help you set up a great blanket tent, to your own camping craft, and more! (LS)

Science Saturdays

Are you feeling unchallenged? Then sign up for this twice a month box packed with interesting, engaging, and fun science projects you can do at home! Each box includes everything you need to conduct experiments, test samples, and find results all from the comfort of your own home. Boxes to be picked up at the Deer Grove Leisure Center. Mystery Box

Something mysterious is happening in Bensenville. This unique experience will take you across the Village as you use your best detective skills to solve puzzles, decipher clues, and have fun. Everything you need to solve the caper is packed into a box and will be available for pick-up at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, making this a wholly self-guided experience. (LS)
