Bike Basics with Lisa and Trent New!
Save money and avoid expensive visits to the bike shop by signing up for Bike Basics with Lisa and Trent. Our bike course will get you acquainted with your ride and have you ready for a summer full of cruising. This course covers the most common issues you face while riding and gives you a hands on experience to learn how to fix your own bike. We will be covering tires, tubes, brake pads, brake adjustments, and overall tune-ups. During the course you will receive a bike repair multi-tool to use while you are learning your new skills. Busse Woods Bike Trip New!
Join us for a supported bike trip through the Ned Brown Preserve (Busse Woods). Featuring a 7.6 mile paved trail, several beautiful water features, pavilions, and gorgeous woodlands, Busse Woods creates the perfect space for enjoying a bike ride at a relaxed pace. After we finish our loop, we’ll have a boxed lunch from Shorty’s before heading home. Transportation for you and your bike will be provided by the Park District. Beginners Crochet Class Dishcloth or Face Cloth
Learn to crochet within a small class of students. Our experienced teacher will help you get started with an enjoyable new hobby that can leave you with enough knowledge to work at your own pace on future projects. You will learn the chain, single crochet stitch, double crochet stitch, as well as how to turn your work. This course will walk you through making small square swatches of your stitches that will be used as dishcloths, or face cloths. A supply list will be given upon registration. Register by 06/07. Intermediate Crochet Class Baby Sweater & Hat
This adorable sweater and hat set for a newborn will be one of those sweet gifts that parents will cherish. You must have a good knowledge of single and double crochet stitches. This project will require a little work each day, as the project has to move along to learn the next step each week. In this class you will be counting stitches and learning how to read a pattern.
