Once again, the international airbrush community has lost one of its pioneers: American airbrush artist Terry Hill died in mid-December at the age of 60 from Covid 19 disease, which he fell ill with at the Miami-Dade State Fair. Terry Hill was best known in the English-speaking airbrush scene for his numerous instructional videos and articles in the U.S. magazine „Airbrush Action.“ He also taught for decades at major workshop events such as the Airbrush Getaways and the Airbrush Art Circus. Terry Hill was active as a T-shirt airbrusher until his illness. In 1981, he and Don Ashwood started their first airbrush T-shirt store in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, after Terry lost his job in a factory. In their shop, the two painted the popular souvenir shirts for beach tourists. They later named their company Hot Air . While Don did the art work, Terry was more of a technician. He worked with the industry to develop compressors and other airbrush equipment. He became known for his combined air distributor and airbrush holder for 6 airbrush units, which was a practical tool for T-shirt artists. Most recently, Terry Hill worked at a Walmart airbrush store in Destin, Florida. Terry Hill was a good friend to many U.S. artists, including Gary Worthington, Eddie Davis, Pat Gaines and former Airbrush Action publisher Cliff Stieglitz. Artists such as Rod Fuchs, Alan Pastrana and Gerald Mendez remember him as a kindhearted talent promoter and role model to thousands of airbrush artists worldwide. Terry Hill had also been a guest at several shows and trade fairs in Europe in the 1990s, sharing his skills and inspiring many airbrush fans abroad. The team of Airbrush Step by Step Magazine had the honor to integrate a Step by Step article by Terry Hill in the 2010 published „Createx 3

AIRBRUSH DOJO MAGAZINE Workbook“. Terry Hill leaves a big gap in the airbrush industry and will remain unforgotten through his numerous videos and articles, some of which can still be found on the Internet. Our sympathy goes to his relatives, friends and all who knew him, learned from him and were inspired by his art.

Just like the quote above says, “Dreams don't work unless you do.” You need to exert effort in order to achieve the results you want. You can't just wait around for things to happen. Once you get things done, you'll realize you are getting closer to your goals.
