NOTE FROM THE PUBLISHER My second wife was took a seasonal assignment down in San Angelo, Texas back in the summer of 2015. So the week of July 4th I and our special needs son went to spend a week down there with her. I had an extreme opportunity to go visit the Chicken Art Farm and I instantly fell in love with the place and its concept. As an Airbrush artist I felt at home there. It is my goal to eventually have a spot there to work and sell my artwork there. With their permission I wanted to do a special edition dedicated to them and what they do. Please feel free to check this issue out. Like and share and visit each of the artist links and if you ever find your way to San Angelo, Texas and spend some time there and support THE ARTS. We at Airbrush Dojo truly appreciate what they do and we want to do anything we can to help them promote them!!!!!!
Always Believe,
Danny Rowland Publisher of Airbrush Dojo magazine and artist

ABOUT THE CHICKEN FARM ART CENTER There aren't any chickens at The Chicken Farm, but we have plenty of local art and artists set up in refurbished farm buildings stocked full of their creations. With monthly and yearly events hosted here at The Art Center, Sharing the Art Spirit with the community of West Texas and visitors traveling from afar is what we live for. We're always free to the public, if we're open come on in! The Chicken Farm Art Center was founded in 1971 and is the home of the StarKeeper Gallery*. We are open year round with 15+ artist studios, the Silo House Restaurant, and the Inn at the Art Center located on 3 acres close to downtown San Angelo. Our Studio Artists display a variety of art works in their studios; from paintings and drawings to pottery, jewelry making, sculpture, and more. Many of them create and sell in their studio spaces, so you can stop by and watch the artistic process and enjoy the finished products. We host various events throughout the year. First Saturdays are once a month, year round, featuring local artists, select vendors, live local musicians, great food, and activities for kids (and adults) of all ages. We hold a free concert out here during the warm months (usually May-October) called, 2nd Thursday Concerts in the Yard. Our annual Open House is held on the three days after Thanksgiving in November (Fri-Sun) and we pull in artist friends from around Texas and the US for this celebration. These are just a few of our events, follow us on Facebook for event updates or subscribe to our Monthly Newsletter for more information. *Roger Allen Pottery is a functioning production pottery studio. All of our pieces are thrown on the potter's wheel, airbrushed, and hand-painted*. After two kiln firings our pottery is food and microwave safe; hand washing is recommended. All designs are original Roger Allen concepts made only through our studio. We are in several galleries in the US: Double Take - Santa Fe, New Mexico The Real Mother Goose - Portland, Oregon Freed Gallery - Lincoln City, Oregon Page 3 of 8

Artist Studios at CFAC We have approximately 15 Artist Studios at any given time. Painting, pottery, sculpture, wood working, glass, metal, you name it and we probably have someone doing it. Our studio artists set their own shop hours, most are here on Saturdays and during events. When visiting, we encourage you to check every studio door, if it opens head inside and check it out!
https://audreylegatowicz.com/ Audrey Legatowicz has had her own business since 1980, exhibiting and selling her work at juried art fairs and galleries throughout the country. Her professional background also includes gallery management, and instructor of weaving. She has had students of all ages groups, and successfully taught two visually handicapped women to weave; experiences that have enriched many lives. Currently, in addition to production weaving, Audrey presents programs on spinning and weaving to elementary grade school children. Audrey’s hand woven designs are primarily created with natural fibers; some of which incorporate her handspun wool and mohair yarns. The collection includes wearable art and accessories, as well as items for the home or office. Audrey’s fascination with beads has also lead her in the direction of beaded jewelry and mixed media art forms. Whether it is adornment for the body or home, the creations add beauty and a sense of spirit to those who enjoy Audrey’s work.

https://www.facebook.com/kassiedilworthart/ Kassie is a ceramic artist creating functional wheel-thrown pottery and hand-built sculptural art. I started out as a college student working on my BFA in Art while making pottery in the closet at my apartment back in 2012. That little closet studio was my first official work space for me to create and follow my passion. My first official studio at The Chicken Farm Art Center was located in the back parking lot. I loved it! For a year it was where I played in the mud, re-entered the world of painting, and dabbled in jewelry in-between projects. Enter 2017! Still lucky enough to be at The Chicken Farm, but now located in Studio#4. The Closet Studio is where my ideas come alive! The use of vibrant colors, funky textures, and unusual concepts are common place in my work. While I work full time for Roger Allen in The StarKeeper Gallery here, my studio is open weekly and for all special events at The Art Center. With the help of my husband we do Free Kids Activities on First Saturdays and manage to Share the Art Spirit with everyone we can!
