Today we are going to talk about how putting your customers first can help you generate more leads. The reason that many businesses fail is they don't focus on what€™s important - to the customer. When asked, many business owners will say that turning a profit is their main goal and while it is vital to the success of any business, it€™s also important to remember that without customers you won't have any revenue. That€™s why it only makes sense to put them first 1. Always meet the needs of your target customer Customers aren't going to buy your product or service unless you appeal to them on a level they can relate to. If you can offer them something that will solve their problems, ease their pain or enhance their lives in some way you will literally have money in the bank. Instead of focusing your advertisements on what you do, focus on what they will get out of your product or service. This shows them that you are focusing on their needs instead of on simply making money on a product or service that no one can really use.

2. Get rid of waste When you talk to customers, find out where they found the information about you and your company. If one form of advertising is working well, and the other one isn't working as well, consider getting rid of the one that isn't working. Depending on what it is, it can be costing you money without giving anything back in return.

3. Utilize your website Take a look at your website and look at it with a critical eye. Try and see it as a customer sees it and make sure that any questions that they might have are answered.


4. Ask questions As we talked about in your last lesson, make sure you€™re asking questions. When people see a question, it makes them think. They may not have thought about it before, but it helps them take a look at themselves and they might just find that they do have a real need for the product or service that you offer.

Offline Marketing Update

Here's what is going on with a small one inch ad that I placed in an offline print publication. The ad is running in the May June issue of the publication. The ad is offering free information about a money making opportunity. If people want to take a look at my free information, they just need to call my voice mail box at: 1-412 734-5844 and leave their name and address, I also ask them to leave their email address, if they have one. Believe it or not, there are still people who don't have an email address. If they leave their email address I can add it to my subscriber list to receive this e-zine. If they don't have an email address I send them information on a way they can make money selling products offline, like a report on how and what to sell at Flea Markets. As of right now, I have about 32 leads from this print ad. Not bad for a small print ad and I expect to receive more leads for at least the next two weeks.
