Scope of Work Kenesha Franklin is creating a camp type atmosphere for children ranging from Early Childhood (pre-k) through twelve years of age. The purpose of Camp W.O.R.T.H. is to recreate and redevelop what it means to be a human-being. This camp provides children with the necessary tools to become positive, productive and responsible adults. Franklin would like to provide educational and emotional services as well as some extra-curricular activies. For each design I kept a simple, easy-to-read font for children. I also used basic primary colors. The client stated she liked the blue and orange best. The star came from the idea that children are praised with stars when they do something well or get a good grade on something.

Option 1
Option 1 consists of a shooting star inside of two rounded rectangles. “CAMP” and “w.o.r.t.h.” are both in the Arcon font, which is simple to read. The colors chosen are primary orange and blue. I kept the shooting star with five points other than six or seven. I originally thought of a firework or a cluster of stars but the five-pointed single star has a corner for each important letter of the name of this camp.

Option 2
The idea behind Option 2 is a staircase reaching the goal of where these children at the camp can be by the time the camp is over; “Reach for the stars. I used the font Bonveno which is also simple enough for children to read the words in the staircase. Again, I used the five-pointed yellow star with the orange and blue as a gradient in the word CAMP and in the five steps on the staircase.

Option 3
Option 3 does not have a star but underneath the name CAMP W.O.R.T.H. is the meaning of what W.O.R.T.H. stands for. I used two fonts in this logo concept; CAMP W.O.R.T.H. is Bree Serif. I used a boxy font because when I think of a camp or some sort of activity like it I usually imagine the “college sport jacket lettering. The words Worthy, Original, Respectful, Triumphant, and Human-beings are in Bonveno. I kept the blue and orange primary colors.
