The sweet feeling of a round candy on a stick Melting away in your watery mouth as you dream of your favorite flavor You ask your mom if we could get some, but you never hear the right answer You really want one so bad you want to buy them You look at the bag of three hundred and my favorite brand to I’m almost in heaven with the sweet things on a paper stick Dreaming of it in my mouth is a whole different feeling From wanting it so much to the sweet heaven it the land of awesome You want them so much but you’re broke You ask for them again and again but still not the right answer You finally brake down and ask your sister but still the wrong answer You plead and you beg You are willing to do anything You keep asking and begging and asking, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Then you hear “all this for a bag of lolly-pops” and suddenly The whole bag of three hundred is in the cart All yours for life (until you run out)

When it is dark and no one is out When the shadows don’t show When you need a light just to find that step When you don’t have anything to do When you see the things you know you won’t remember When you live in your own world When your brain starts turning harder than before When you think of amazing things When it is cold outside When the darkness is everywhere When the time is endless When everything is stopped When you see the sun start to spark And you finally realize Wow I’m not afraid of the dark

It was the last play
So high it could touch the sky.
On the last day. And with a hard smack The whistle blew
The hitter sent her attack.
And the ball flew. With our defense ready to return Over the net
Then ball started to take an odd turn.
Just like a jet.
The other team like a battle line Then one girl called “mine!”
The ball went high in the air And the setter was tall and fair.
With everyone starting to shout “Don’t get it the ball is out!”
We’ve done it we’ve won the game And the other team walked away looking lame.
She set the ball so high
