Tennis Poems (and others) Margalit M
The Sport I Love Audio for Poem
Playing hard, The sweat drips down, Feet squeak on the court, Toes pushing against the edge of shoes, Chasing the ball, Hitting it over Following through. The sport I love Goes up in the air, Sun blinding the eyes, Going in or going out The effort makes it fun Never disappoints. The sport I love Faces are red Quite clapping on the side, Sipping the water, Careful not to get dehydrated, Bouncing the ball before attempting to hit, Bringing the ball up then lobbing it over, Feels like it goes in slow motion, The sport I love Tennis
Nothing Compares Audio for Poem
Nothing compares To the joy of winning. Nothings compares to the heat. Nothing compares To the sweat dripping down Nothing compares to the sun in your eyes. Nothing compares To the feeling you get When you hit an amazing shot. Nothing compares to the Effort you put in. Nothing compares to How much you care, Winning like a champion. Hitting the ball sings loudly in your ears. Nothing compares To the rubbing in on your feet. Nothing compares To tennis.
This Is War Audio for Poem
The sun flares Like a rocket in the night sky, The ball comes to you Like a bullet shooting through, Sweat streams down the faces Like the tears of the wounded, This isn't tennis, This is war.
Ode to Tacos. Or is it? Audio for Poem
Tacos are a curse put upon us all, We can't stop eating them, There's no way to end this addiction. Tacos are there for us Whenever we need them, Cheese, meat and lettuce Oh my. Tacos are for everyone Little or large, Lactose intolerant and even vegetarian, Gluten free, Have no fear, Tacos are for you. Tacos make your tongue sing, And your stomach smile with joy. Not one not two not three not four, Ok maybe fours enough But you get my point. Forget the pizza, Forget the pie. Why have dessert when you can have, Well, tacos? To be honest tacos aren't really my thing,
It’s the burritos that make me sing. The fact that you can put whatever you want on it, Roll it up like a blanket And just indulge in the whatever texture Of a burrito. Unlike tacos burritos have no limit, Just keep stuffing them until you are satisfied. Moo moo mister cows, Joey juniors, What else could you want? I'm not trying to convert you, From tacos to burritos, But next time you eat a taco think to yourself Does this really satisfy me? Is it really worth the teeth cracking Eye popping that is involved With eating a taco. If you my friend answered no, it's not worth it To any of these questions The burrito or burrito bowl was made for you.
