The Battle of Life Life is a battle fought by every man and woman
on the battlefield between the cradle and grave. Life is the dash on our tombstone engraved with brevity. Life is the ups and downs, the goods and bads, a shield of protection wrapped around us, warding off hostilities. Life is the comfort of others when we are defeated. Life is a battle between choice and surrender, a seed that sprouts into harvest when it is carefully tended. Life is a time of learning and growth, a fight against time before we answer to death. Life is what we appreciate, whom we love, a special gift with questions we must answer, all taking place in the war against time.

Wishes (for Ginger) I wish I could have told you, in words you'd understand, I wanted you to stay with me. This wasn't what I'd planned. I wish somehow to tell you, How empty I now feel. A part of me went with you, A part that time can't heal. I wish I'd once more hear you, in your softly, rumbling grr, to hold you on my lap again and stroke your golden fur. Ode to Spring At the arrival of Spring, we listen to the birds sing, and watch the daisies bloom, each, with a quick zoom. The smell of pine and tulips in the air and the breeze blowing through our hair; the time to watch the snow slowly melt, and hear the chorus of birds, the songs they belt. The season we all adore, the sun in its sky, to us implores. The butterflies flying everywhere, flapping their wings here and there. The green grass tickles our toes, and dogwood petals drift upon our clothes. The sun shines with no cloud in the sky, as the newborn rabbits dart by. Shallow puddles on the ground, and young children waltzing all around. The rainbows seem never to end, and from the doldrums of winter, our hearts transcend. Forever in My Thoughts I knew you for three years now, and those three years knowing you are the best years I ever had. You helped me become the person that I am today. I always knew that someday we would have to say goodbye, We were supposed to have one last year together, the last year that we would have fun. But now, I see that you have to go, and leave us behind. Soon, we would grow apart and we would soon just become a memory. But I just want you to know, that you will always forever be in my heart. No matter what happens, I'll always love you Although this goodbye is just temporary, this is the hardest goodbye For me to say. Wipe your tear off your cheek, and please, for the last time Smile your beautiful smile, and don't worry we'll meet again someday. For the last time, Hug me goodbye, And tell me that you'll always be there for me.
