Surge in onion price surprises Caintaños
In an interview, Mang June, a vendor at Riverside, claimed that the increase in prices affected them because of the high cost of capital but they had no other option than to mark up the prices by a tiny amount for the customers
He also added that they already expected an increase in prices, especially in the month of December, but it surprises them that the increase would be that high
Ms Lisa Nobles, a consumer, stated that she avoids using onions for now and only uses garlic when cooking since the prices are high She also added that others chose to buy more ingredients rather than spend more on buying onions
He questioned why the government has not yet been able to resolve the “abnormality” of prices for onions

Dr. Butron: Cainta Senior High School experiences shortage of teaching personnel
Cainta Senior High School, a public school in the Division of Rizal, is currently facing a shortage of teaching personnel
The school's rapid population growth, from 1,000 students in the 2020-2021 school year to 2,800 students this school year, has put a strain on their current personnel
Additionally, the hiring period for applicants has ended, and some teachers have resigned, contributing to the
current deficit
Meanwhile, the expected number of personnel for the school is between 80 to 90, however, the actual number of personnel is only 50 due to the low number of applicants
Despite the challenge, school administrators are taking action to address the shortage The school has sent a request for additional teacher deployments to the Division of Rizal and is exploring the possibility of borrowing
opinions on whether it would be beneficial or not
When questioned, 34 of the 50 pupils at Cainta Senior High School in the Philippines knew what mandatory ROTC is, while the other 16 had no notion

Cainteño students affected by the week-long transportation strike
Students from all over Cainta voiced their grievances about the weeklong strike.
Last March 6 until March 12, transport groups went on strike to protest against the jeepney modernization program fearing that it will potentially take their livelihoods away Schools around Metro Manila have to cancel classes as some students would have a hard time commuting Cainta canceled their face-to-face classes and went temporarily to online and modular classes as Mayor Elen Nieto suggested as some students of schools will be affected by the said transport strike
Students stated that the sudden changes from face-to-face classes to online gave them nostalgia for how classes were almost 3 years ago Angeline Umali, a grade 11 student from Cainta Senior High School, stated that she was piled up by lots of activities due to the cancellation of face-to-face classes

Last February 20, 2023, Cainta Senior High School opened a collaborative project for students to participate in PNP Cainta’s Anti-Drug Campaign titled: “Obra Kontra Droga: A Mural Painting for a Cause.”

As of now, the project is still ongoing.
CaiSenians voice opinion on Jeepney Modernization
The plan to modernize jeepneys has been a topic of discussion since 2017 around former president Rodrigo Duterte’s term
The Jeepney modernization program aims to replace old units with newer government standard jeepneys that are said to be more efficient and safer
Many jeepney operators fear that the program will put them out of livelihood since it requires them to issue out their older units with newer ones that would cost them a lot and might put them in debt
It is still a debate amongst the Filipino people whether the programs should already be launched or should be pushed back
Andrei Alamare, a grade 12 student at Cainta Senior High School said that it would be unfair for jeepney drivers
“It's unfair for the jeepney drivers to remove their traditional jeepneys and replace with an upgraded one considering that it's not cost efficient so the drivers can't afford to buy it as their income is below the average salary.” He stated.
He also added that as if the government was taking the driver’s jobs away Ken Mark Lemente, a grade 11 student also had the same opinion “The objectives are good, but I think it is not the right time eh, kasi bumabangon palang tayo ” he stated Dan Cristobal
Grade 12 TVL started their Immersion
He added that it would pile up as a problem for the drivers since they’re still recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic’s damages
Angeline Umali, a grade 11 student as well stated that it will affect sectors of our country “Apart from the citizens who use this jeepney to travel on a daily basis, the drivers will be more miserable because they will lose their job which is the only way to earn money ”
Senate hearings are still ongoing to deal with the issue Many senators still doubt that the program wouldn’t be effective since a lot of factors might affect it such as the lack of financial support for jeepney operators
President Bongbong Marcos still vows to modernize jeepneys and to improve transportation systems
The grade twelve students of our school have begun their on-the-job training (OJT), March 20, 2023 with the minimum of eighty hours work immersion divided into ten days The work immersion program is designed to provide students with practical experience and hands-on training in their chosen field It is a requirement for all grade twelve students, and is an important part of their academic curriculum
According to an Automotive strand student Tristan Fernandez, "Para ma-balance yung responsibility sa work at school pati na rin sa bahay time management lang, ang school works namin ay modular nalang kasi ang pasok namin sa OJT ay 8am to 5pm "
The on-the-job training program is a collaboration between our school, local government unit and various private sector partners, including businesses and organizations in the local community Students will work closely with industry experts and gain a deeper understanding of the skills and knowledge required for success in their chosen field
The work immersion program is just one of the many initiatives being undertaken by our school to provide students with the best possible learning opportunities With the start of the on-the-job training program, our students are well on their way to achieving their academic and career goals

Imperceptive Action of the Government: The Red Onion Crisis
Zusete Ramos & Jovan Pelausa
It is a frustrating and all too familiar scenario for
the citizens of the Philippines: the sudden and steep rise in the price of a staple food item, in this case, red onions And yet, despite the clear impact on ordinary people's daily lives, the government's response has been inadequate and ineffective
The overpricing of red onions is not only a problem in and of itself, but it also serves as a damning indictment of the government's competence If they are unable to address such a basic and pressing issue, what hope do we have that they will
be able to tackle more complex and systemic problems such as corruption?
The recent increase in food prices, particularly red onions, is a concern for citizens and highlights the need for effective government action As leaders, the government has the responsibility to ensure that basic necessities are accessible and affordable for all
Citizens may feel frustrated by the repeated pattern of rising food prices and a lack of immediate solutions from the government It is important to acknowledge the challenges in managing the economy and to
The Pen is Mightier than Sword
We remember that our national her Dr Jose Rizal wrote two books -Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo which contain the illness of the Philippines during the Spanish era and aim to reform the Las Filipinas (Philippines) to seek the truth and reclaim our freedom
According to Philippine News, El Filibusterismo awakened the people of the past and present about the importance of freedom that everyone should have In addition to that, This book also gives knowledge about the presence of corruption in the government and how higherups abuse their power to rule the country
In addition to this, the poor who are accused and subjected to this punishment may be innocent and they die without clearing their name. The POA agency does not have enough lawyers to fight for the poor who do not have enough money to hire a lawyer to defend them
Solving the ever-increasing crime does not only depend on the Death Penalty, they can be sentenced to Reclusion Perpetua or Imprisonment for 20 years and 1 day to 40 yrs of imprisonment to pay for the crime committed
Therefore, the Death Penalty must be not implemented again in the country because it alone deprives a person of his right to live or the "right to life". This is also not a humanitarian act
to find solutions that benefit everyone
The government should take this issue seriously and strive to find ways to address the overpricing of basic food items Effective leadership requires finding solutions that prioritize the well-being of citizens The government and citizens can work together to find the best possible outcome for all

Malnutrition is still a problem in our society that has been caused by overpopulation and some families cannot afford to buy enough food for their children The feeding program is a short-term solution to aid this temporarily
According to UNICEF, 95 children die of malnutrition every day in the Philippines and 27 out of 1,000 Filipino children did not get past their 5th birthday Some of the children who experience malnutrition are stunted or their height is not ideal for their age, if not resolved, stunting might be permanent To aid this Malnutrition, Cainta Senior High School conducted a program called "CaiLusog at CaiSigla"

CaiLusog at CaiSigla happened last December 9, 2022, under the HUMSS department and SocialAN together with their adviser Mr Dennis Arce which is held at two Schools - Francisco P Felix Elementary School and Kabisig Elementary School
CaiLusog at CaiSigla aims to give food to the chosen beneficiaries The program also has some entertainment that the kids enjoy during the program
This kind of program must continue because it helps to temporarily aid Malnutrition as the food served contains a lot of nutrients that the children should intake to ensure their growth ZuseteRamos

By outlawing extracurricular activities (ECA), we are denying students the ability to develop their abilities and skills as well as the chance to discover their hidden talents
To clarify, the ECA ban has been a serious topic since Vicepresident and DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte said in one of her interviews that students should focus on their studies to catch up to learn the losses during the two years of not being able to study in person and ECA ban is the solution they proposed “However, this approach can be counter-productive as such can lead to burning out among learners and teachers alike," says the Alliance of Concerned
Teachers (ACT) Philippines but DepEd assured the ACT that they will produce psychosocial activities that help the students physically and mentally “Psychosocial activities include nonacademic activities like painting and among others” , POA said
Furthermore, this order restricts students from developing their skills as students Netizens push back on this order and state banning ECA is not a solution to learning gaps during the pandemic They also added that ECA helps many students hone and develop their skills in different aspects
Netizens also point out that after 2 years of learning online, students deserve to show off their skills
and show how talented they are It also allows them to gain knowledge and experience that is helpful for them in the future In addition to that, governments should focus on the issue that needs to be resolved, regarding the learning gaps There are a lot of solutions to address the aforementioned problem, for instance, students should be cooperative while the teachers are teaching the same as the students, and they should focus in class
In conclusion, this order makes the students look like robots and it also proves that the government can't think of any good solution to the educational crisis How come schools are a place for your talent when the government closes the door for you?

CHALLENGES OF CLASSES
Resumption of face-to-face classes is one of the major steps of the Department of Education this year which gives way to the birth of whole new challenges for the students Traffic is one of the major problems in the Philippines even during the PrePandemic Era Traffic is caused by insufficient road infrastructure or road construction
Traffic is a burden to a lot of students when the in-person classes resume especially for those students who live far from their school as they need to take a lot of patience when going to school Now that face-to-face classes have returned, drivers expect that there's a lot of students who would take public vehicles as their mode of transportation
According to Maryjoy Nobles, a Grade 12 ABM Student at Arellano University, traffic is one of her problems in the morning She said that at 5:00 in the morning, she was already waiting for a jeepney but it took a lot of time before she could ride one She also added that traffic causes lateness for some of the students
Also, Philip Xerxes Ishmael Casimiro, a Grade 12-EIM student at CSHS experiences the burden of traffic as he needs to take 3 trips for him to get to school He stated that he spent 10-20 minutes waiting for vehicles to arrive He also added that he copes with traffic by preparing 2 hours in advance but sometimes because of unexpected happenings on the road, he's still late for his class
FACE-TO-FACE
Meanwhile, after 2 years of being stuck in a new Mode of learning which is the modular and online classes when you have control of your schedule and this face to face causes you to do some major adjustments
In addition to that, Some of the students will be excited to get back to school and some of them will be hard to adapt to based on KidsHealth
As a student who has experienced online classes adjusting to resuming face-to-face classes may involve getting used to a different learning environment and classroom dynamic, as well as potentially adjusting to a different schedule It may also involve re-learning how to effectively take notes and participate in class discussions It may be helpful to reach out to the teacher or other students for support and to establish a routine
Francis Aaron Molina, Grade 11STEM student at Sienna College of Taytay said in a conducted interview
Also, Gavin Kendrick M Abonita, a Grade 12-STEM student at Juan Sumulong Memorial Junior College stated that he adjusted to resuming face-to-face classes by practicing socializing to make friends and to cope with his classmates as he used to be alone and not talking to other people
A Silenced Journalist
It is a bitter irony that in a country that boasts of its democratic ideals, 66 journalists have been brutally killed in the last year of 2022
One would expect that in a country where freedom of expression is enshrined in the constitution, the press would be able to do its job without fear of violence But alas, it seems that those in power, or even the government itself, have decided that a free and independent press is a nuisance to be silenced through intimidation and murder
It is an undeniable fact that some of these killings have been orchestrated by those who hold power and want to maintain a stranglehold on the flow of information
These individuals, whether they be government officials or powerful businessmen, have decided that the truth is a threat to their interests, and so they have taken it upon themselves to silence those who would dare to speak it
This is not only a betrayal of the principles of democracy but also a grave injustice to the families of the victims and the entire nation
"The sudden changes are tiring but I managed to get through with it," he said In the same way, a Grade 9 Student at Casimiro A Ynares Sr Memorial National High School, Kwynne Rozeinne Alao also struggled at adjusting to face-to-face classes as she state that she has already gotten used to 2 years of online classes that she has more time in household chores as her works are online and she can finish it earlier and she added that she will face the challenges with a positive view and ready herself of the possible changes
Additionally, some of the adjustments they also need to do is changing their morning routine including that they need to wake up early and get ready early unlike in the new mode of learning, where you can wake up a little later and also the fact that socialization can be hard for them because it's a new environment and being stuck in your house for 2 years and just facing them virtually
Lastly, they need to adjust to school rules and classroom rules including wearing a face mask even though it's not required but teachers preferred students wearing a mask, sanitation, and washing hands as participating in implementing he health and safety protocol of the Department of Health (DOH)
Jovan Nico S.J. Pelausa
The right to freedom of expression is not something that can be taken away at the whim of those in power It is a fundamental human right that must be protected at all costs
The international community must speak out against these atrocities and press for accountability The government must take immediate steps to ensure the safety of journalists and to bring those responsible for these killings to justice
It is a tragedy that in a democratic country, journalists must risk their lives to do their job
Despite the challenges they face during the resumption of face-to-face classes, it has good factors to look up to The resumption of classes somewhat helps them in attaining their knowledge because we can't deny the fact that during online classes, students can barely remember the lesson and have a tough time understanding the lessons It is a self-learning module and not everyone has the same capability and is a fast learner
Students' connectivity to teachers is also a good factor in the resumption of inperson classes because they can approach their teachers personally to ask about the lesson, during online classes, this is hard since not all students have access to the internet but even the privileged one is having a hard time cause some teachers are difficult to connect with
Overall, adjusting to face-to-face classes is hard on the students as they need to be flexible in the new normal They also need to cope with the changes and bear the challenges of it but with the help of their friends and people that surround them, they can manage it
But we must not be silenced by the actions of those who would seek to control the flow of information We must stand in solidarity with the families of the victims and with journalists everywhere, who bravely continue to do their work in the face of danger
We must also reaffirm our commitment to the principles of democracy and freedom of expression, for only by doing so can we hope to create a world where journalists can do their work without fear of their backs being widely exposed

EDUCATION
One of the most controversial topics until now is the advancement of technology.
Some people say it is a blessing while some call it a disaster
Nowadays, technology has changed our education system We live in an era where technology has become an important part of our daily lives but sometimes, it can also be a problem if we continue to depend on it.
Knowledge is mostly available and free to access Without a doubt, the development of technology has a strong influence on how students access information Since students are no longer limited to traditional classrooms, these devices and applications can allow them to improve their active learning Mobile devices are mostly used by students for studying, social connection, entertainment, and work
Overall, the most common learning apps are: instant access to information and answers, reading ebooks, educational videos, educational games, accessing documents or document libraries, participating in online lessons and tutorials, accessing video clips or audio libraries, etc
But because of our easy access to these applications, plagiarism has also increased as students find pre-written works online or AI-generated answers which result in pupils receiving unfair assignment scores
A student from UP Diliman is under surveillance because it is reported that they used an AI program to answer the final essay exam
Guiang, the teacher of the said student, stated in the post that he used two AI detector systems to verify the originality of the student's

essay and he discovered that several paragraphs were more than 90% likely written by a machine
Netizens expressed different kinds of comments to both the student and the professor A lot of people are not happy that the professor uploaded parts of the essay that may identify who is the student
“Nag-cheat man o hindi si student, masyadong maaga para sabihin It's unrighteous for anyone to have a verdict this early. So much more for the people na wala namang access sa nasabing paper.” - @alxjsndro from Twitter
People should be careful because some of the information on the internet can be unreliable too which causes frustration or confusion for the users, you need to not just see one source but a lot of sources and then compare them to each other so you can see which is more reliable and true
In the end, there will be difficulties when we introduce a new way of teaching Almost all things have their advantages and disadvantages We just need to be aware of certain drawbacks and not depend on them There’s no reason to be afraid of Ed-Tech, but we shouldn’t rush toward digital change either.
The production of electric cars involves several processes that contribute to pollution, making the idea that they are the answer a misconception
First, the mining of raw materials for the production of electric cars emits pollution
This is the first step in the creation of these vehicles, and already, we are off to a not-sogreen start The batteries in electric cars, made of lithium, also require extraction and refining, further contributing to pollution greater than internal combustion cars
Once the car is manufactured, we then turn to the power source that charges the battery: the power plant Unfortunately, many of these power plants rely on nuclear fission, which produces significant amounts of pollution
So, even though we are driving an electric cars, the source of our energy is still contributing to the pollution problem
In essence, we have not solved the problem of pollution and climate change,
We have taken the pollution and moved it to the locations where the raw materials are mined and the power plants are located This raises the question: have we made a positive impact on the environment by using electric cars?
In conclusion, while electric cars are a step in the right direction, they are not the complete solution to our pollution and climate change problems We must continue to seek out new and innovative ways to reduce our carbon footprint and create a cleaner and more sustainable future.
EDCA: Forging Stronger Pact with U.S. for Enhance National Defense
Enhance Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) as the name implies, is an agreement between the US and the Philippines intended to bolster the AmericanPhilippine alliance
By aligning ourselves with America, we can access intelligence sharing and advanced military equipment, which will significantly enhance our ability to respond to potential security threats One example we can all relate is in the ongoing conflict between China and the Philippines in the western Philippine Sea which they deemed the South China Sea
Based on the recent years, China showed aggression toward the Philippines also known as the South China Sea Arbitration, Although On 12th of July 2016, the arbitral tribunal ruled in favor of the Philippines on most of its submissions China's fleet continuously blocked Filipino fishermen from Scarborough Shoal
It is imperative that we strengthen our alliance to
safeguard our national security and economic interests The United States has been a reliable partner for many years, providing us with military assistance, training and technology to strengthen our defense capabilities
Now, there are currently five existing base camps under the effect of EDCA and these are Cesar Air Base, Fort Magsaysay (Manila) Macton-Berita Ebuen Air Base (Cebu), Antonio Bautista Air Base (East Palma) Lumbia Air Base (South, Palawan)
Despite China harassing us in our own territory not long ago they have some guts to complain about EDCA in fact the Chinese Embassy in Manila on funday warned the Philippines against the plan of opening up additional sites with the US government, saying this will drag the country into "The Taiwan question"
In the face of growing geopolitical challenges, it is essential that we make strategic choices and build strong partnerships that can help us navigate the complex terrain ahead We must choose our allies wisely

t's not enough to know how to play games but playing games requires knowing how safe your games are.
The Bondee app is a popular application that came from the Singapore-based company - Metadream Tech Pte Ltd This allows you to customize your avatar to your liking and can be socialized with up to 50 friends in your plaza
However, some issues have been circulated about the new trending app "Bondee" after its release last January 15 that it might steal the privacy of the user including the credit card information because the said application is NFT or NonFungible Tokens
According to Amazon, NFT is a blockchain-based token that represents a unique asset like a piece of art, digital content, or media Bondee said in its privacy policy that the B-Beans could be spent on non-fungible token products on the platform, but the service does not appear to be active yet However, the company said the allegations that the credit card information is being leaked through the app is just fake news
“We would like to assure our users that such rumors are false and untrue, as Metadream does not currently collect users ’ credit card information or any other financial information We have also undertaken a prudent review of our systems and wish to assure our users that our systems and our user's data remain safe and secure ” - MetaDream, 2023

SexEd: Beneficial to21st Century Learners
SexEd must be added to our basic K12 curriculum.
As comprehensive sex education programs can be beneficial for high school students Sex Education (SexEd) tackles the topic regarding or related to sex and sexuality Learning SexEd allows the student to gain knowledge in navigating their own or their partner's sexual health
Hazing: A Dangerous and Outdated Tradition
It is no secret that hazing is rather infamous from then until now as a tradition especially to a community where a certain group or individual wants to display power or dominance over many, this violent tradition must be stopped and banned
Recently, the hazing case in Adamson University resulted in the death of a 20-year old marine engineering student John Matthew Salilig in December last year The victim of the "Salilig Hazing Case" hazed by the fraternity called Tau Gamma where six perpetrators were brought to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and sentenced to a prison term of 20 to 40 years and a fine of Php Three million for each count The inquest proceedings on two counts of violation of the anti-hazing law, Republic Act No 8049, as amended by Republic Act No 11053
At most, hazing inflicts physical and emotional consequences for the individual involved The said ritual often include dangerous and humiliating activity such as physical abuse, excessive drinking and sexual assault As these activities can cause physical harm, emotional trauma and even death
Hazing creates a toxic and exclusive culture which is harmful to everyone involved
These rituals often highlight the "us vs them" mentality where newcomer's are
subjected to abuse and humiliation in order to prove their worthiness to join the group
Another point worth nothing is the said benefit of joining a fraternity is brotherhood which gives protection to its members, networking and at some point is academic support, but the deterrent cost of joining required outweighs the advantages
All things considered, hazing goes against the values of respect, integrity and community that should be in our schools and universities This cruel and heinous crime No one should be subjected to such harmful and degrading treatment in the name of tradition
Will we continue to tolerate the harmful and often deadly practice of hazing? or will we take a stand and work towards a future where everyone is treated with dignity and respect?

These programs can provide young people with accurate information about sexual health and reproduction It can also help reduce the risk of unintended pregnancies, and sexually transmitted infections and lessen the report of sexual abuse to teens and children
Based on reports, 5% of women aged 15 to 19 years old are pregnant at an early age and 10% of them came from poor households Other research also states that 13,000 girls drop out of school per year due to different reasons such as being financially unstable or being bullied in school or many other reasons In some other cases, teens continue to study but rely on their parents for the child's expenses
According to the report, a large number of students were forced to leave school because they had to take care of themselves while pregnant
This demonstrates the significance of sex education, especially for teenagers Sex education can stop the rise of unintended pregnancies and lower the likelihood of more children dropping out of school It also prevents teenagers from relying on their parents
Sex Education could also contribute to expressing strong messages in balance in favor of equality between men and women from the early stages of education, promoting non-stereotyped gender roles, consent to sexual relations, respect for personal integrity, and many more It is also a good platform for increasing awareness of women's sexual and reproductive health and rights, such as access to modern contraception and safe abortion Early pregnancy is not only potentially harmful to the health of teens, but it also severely limits their educational options
In addition to that, SexEd also helps children and teens in avoiding sex offenders, mostly online, as they are vulnerable causing them to be the target of sexual extortion, grooming, and sexual exploitation The importance of this type of education is to
In addition to that, SexEd also helps children and teens in avoiding sex offenders, mostly online, as they are vulnerable causing them to be the target of sexual extortion, grooming, and sexual exploitation The importance of this type of education is to prevent children from falling prey to sexual offenders online, especially since the cases of online offenders have risen during the period of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic
Furthermore, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, trichomoniasis, and aids are more likely to be prevented as SexEd teaches about what are STDs, how you can avoid these, the importance of using condoms and other contraceptives promote safer sex, etc Because of their awareness of sexual health and lack of ignorance around it, students benefit greatly from sex education The knowledge they acquire will be beneficial to them in the future, and they can impart it to others However, some parents are not in favor of Sex Education as they think that Sex Education can just only increase the sexual desires of children especially teens as they are hitting the time of puberty

DepEd is out of replacements, CaiSenHigh Addresses Teacher Resignations
We acknowledge the recent resignations of several teachers at CaiSenHigh and understand that people have different reasons for making career changes While it is unfortunate timing, given the current shortage of teaching personnel, we want to assure our community that we are doing everything we can to address the situation
Teaching can be a demanding profession and it is
important to support one another, especially in challenging times Our school is facing a challenge in ensuring that all students receive the quality education they deserve, and the lack of teaching staff has resulted in larger class sizes We are working hard to find solutions and appreciate the ongoing support of our community
In light of this, it feels unreal that some teachers have chosen to leave their students and colleagues in the midst of this crisis We have no choice but to accept the fact and pray We can only hope for more
The shortage of teaching personnel at CaiSenHigh School highlights the need for more support and resources for schools as they work to provide quality education to students School officials hope that with the help of the community, they will be able to address the current deficit and ensure that students receive the education they deserve

Cainta Senior High School organization held an event called "Paskuhan sa CaiSenHigh" which aims to bring back the spirit of Christmas within the students of CSHS and also show the talents of fellow CaiSenians.
As the Christmas Season is coming, Youth for Environment in SchoolsOrganization (YES-O) came up with the activity – CaiStar ng Pasko which is a Recycled Lantern Making Contest This activity aims to lessen the trash with the help of making it a medium for making lanterns and also allows the students to show their creativity in using recycled materials
Moreover, the School Publication Team organizes two events– Spoken Poetry (Ang Sitio) and Acoustic Bands (The Hamlet)
These three activities from YES-O and The School Publication made a good result to show the talent within the CaiSenians and also shows how they carefully handle their events The Collaboration doesn't stop there, SSG really hypes the students by hosting the event
and having some mini-games as they want to lift the moods of CaiSenians and the SociaLAN handles the shoutbox where the student can write their message to someone anonymously and it is read during the event
The Calling of Sir Nestor Montawar
Being a teacher and a pastor was not really his dream, but a calling from GOD, from Mr Nestor Montawar of Cainta Senior High School (CSHS) who inspires students in pursuing their dreams along with the guidance of God
1 Corinthians 16:14 "let all you do be done in love."
You can't enjoy events with a hungry stomach, so the JABMan Society is on the rescue as they prepare food stalls with a variety of food to choose from Students grab this opportunity to buy food and enjoy the event
In addition, the Rover scout did great on the recent Paskuhan Sa Caisenhigh as they guard the school to maintain peace and order among the students
The collaboration of these organizations is indeed amazing and the fact that they are senior high school students is really astonishing
This kind of teamwork must continue to make more events that the CaiSenians can engage in
The activities that the organizations can think of are a real help to students because of these, they can entertain themselves after a long time of studying as they deserve to experience their memorable CSHS life
To conclude with the help of the organizations, Paskuhan sa CaiSenHigh became memorable to the CaiSenians and it also shows that teamwork always leads to success and it achieves your goal
The Role of Women in Philippine Politics
In recent years, the role of women in Philippine politics has become increasingly important.
Despite facing numerous challenges and barriers, women in the Philippines have made significant strides in terms of political participation and representation
One of the main obstacles that women in the Philippines have faced is the lack of equal opportunities in terms of access to education and training This has limited the ability of women to participate fully in the political process In addition, traditional gender roles and cultural expectations have also played a
Sir Montawar, as a teacher, addresses the intellectual needs of his students in Cainsenhigh, and as a pastor, he also addresses the spiritual needs of the listeners Doing both somehow challenges him, because aside from being a teacher and a pastor he also plays many roles, but it doesn't bother him, though sometimes he feels tired, but because he loves what he is doing he is still able to manage to get through any difficulties As stated in the scriptures in
because that is what God called you for; to serve, to teach, and to Preach for the Glory of the Lord God has a magnificent plan for Sir Montawar, because he never thought that he can be committed to both paths
"There was a day that I joined the campfire and said that I will devote myself to God, but time passed by and I forgot what I've said,"
but it appears that God tapped him and asked him to go back and serve he stated
He asserts that it is challenging to work in two different fields, as he experienced to fulfill his job as a teacher and as a servant of God
like when there is a meeting for school, and training for scouts, and had to serve as a church educator But he was able to handle the two tasks thanks to his effective time management skills
Sir Montawar claimed that he is not bothered by the challenges of his dual roles, because he believes that serving the community by educating students to be great one day, and be like him, and by sharing the word of God to everyone will make them a better person than what they are today For the next generation who wishes to become educators like Sir Montawar, "If it is really your passion, then go for it To be a teacher knows no age, so if you really want it, grab the opportunity ” He stated
Seeing someone who works multiple tasks may look difficult But for people like him, whose calling was to serve people using these two commitments, nothing is hard when it is for community and GOD

role in limiting the participation of women in politics
Despite these challenges, women in the Philippines have made progress in recent decades The 1987 Constitution of the Philippines includes provisions that promote gender equality and women s rights, and there have been several laws passed that seek to promote the participation of women in politics including the Magna Carta of Women, which was signed into law in 2009
As a result of these efforts Women in the Philippines are now actively involved in all levels of government, including serving as elected officials, appointed government officials, and leaders in political parties While there is still a long way to go in terms of achieving gender equality in the political sphere in the Philippines, the progress that has been made so far is significant

In the end, this hard work and perseverance have their outcome in due time Whenever we see these people around, have a good heart to thank them for their service. If you are on the other side of life, please make sure to thank the people around you- who support you financially and be accountable for your studies as you don’t need to be fighting in the limelight of a loaded task. Cainta Senior High school students received their early Christmas gift presented by the school publication: CaiSerenade
CaiSerenade is a project made by the School Publication Team: Ang Sitio and The Hamlet, in collaboration with the other School Clubs: SSG, JabMan Society, SociaLAN, JMAC, Red Cross, and Rover Scouts
Ang Sitio presented different poets such as Azhel Lacaras, Edzhel Pascual, Micah Jade Pedroso, Earl John Rafael, and Charline Nepmuceno presented their written pieces with the theme of "Christmas" Meanwhile, The Hamlet gives their presents through music performances by performers Abegail Vicio, Marco Alipao, Angela Dorothy Villanueva, The
Harmonies, and bands including Quadro, 123itik, Mike-C, and Bandarito
The School opened this program to students to showcase their different talents and hone them even more This also helped students to cope with the 2 years lockdown and online classes
A special performance presented by the School Organizations including SSG, D'Caisen, The Chorale, and HUMSS Students never failed to entertain and bring joy to the crowd The Hamlet and The Sitio also delivered a special performance singing "ArawAraw" by Ben&Ben with the help of the band, Bandarito I enjoyed the event as it brings back the Christmas vibe I missed in the past few years because of the lockdown It made
me happy to see teenagers like me show their talents It is also fun cheering for your friends and them having fun showing their talents It is such a memorable experience for me because it if one of the first few events that the school organizations conducted Although there are quite difficulties that the program has encountered like the unexpected rainfall in between acts, the performance doesn’t stop, “The show must go on,” they say This won’t stop the organizations from catering their gift to CaiSen students as they deserve to end the year 2022 without having fun Students had fun with the performance of the bands Quadro,123itik, Mike-C, and Bandarito singing Mayonnaise' hit song "Jopay'' and another popular song "Nadarang'' by Shanti Dope, all together
Cainta Senior High School was established on June 10, 2016, but only became partially self-sufficient in 2019 Teachers in CaiSen mostly started at Francisco P Felix Memorial National High School, while others came from private schools or private companies FPFMNHS provided them with three buildings to teach senior high school students It was difficult for these teachers to teach effectively since one of the issues was a shortage of seats and electric fans It was difficult for them to witness their students suffering from heat exhaustion, with some sitting on the floor
As years passed, CaiSenHigh became more and more independent until they were ready to branch out from FPFMNHS and build their school Multiple teachers continued with CaiSen, including Ms Marinel Andres, Mrs Cenecia Moreno, Mrs Evelyn Felicia, Mr Roy Discutido, and Mr Jeffrie Ditablan, among many others Ms Andres became Subject Group Head (SGH) of the STEM Department and a member of the Prefect of Discipline Mrs Moreno became the Assistant SGH in the STEM Department and the Science Laboratory Manager Meanwhile, Mrs Evelyn Felicia is now the SGH of the TVL Department Mr Discutido, however, is now the SSG Adviser, School Information Coordinator, and
Brigada Eskwela Coordinator Mr Ditablan is also currently the OIC of the school Numerous improvements have been made, and teachers are pleased that they can now teach more effectively than in the previous facilities The teaching staff has also grown over time, and they can now handle more learners in each strand As Ms Marinel stated, "There is always space for improvement" at the school Now, the school is continuing to improve and because of these pioneers, CaiSen's teaching foundation has become so strong that they are now able to provide quality education to children CaiSen would not be in this position without them The school and the students will be eternally grateful to these educators for raising us and teaching us many lessons not only in our studies but also in our lives

I have given inspiration, I have led and given motivation.
I have been calm
On times that I could’ve burst out, I have kept my emotions inside a cage even though I don't know the way out
I have been seen as a star, Always shining no matter how far.
But stars die before they burn, They burn before they shine
So in all those times, When I have been known to be bright, When I have been known to be a giver of light,

I spent my days and night connected to the endless sky
Exploring, learning, and growing
But the days go by I started to feel a creeping hate
In my mouth, there’s a bitter taste
And darkness in my soul
The endless sky loses its light
The mirror showed a face I did not recognize
The computer that was once a source of joy became a weight
Dragged me down into the depth of despair
Now, I long for the freedom of the sky
But the walls around me feel so high
Because I’m trapped
Trapped in this corner, lost and alone
The computer that once a friend
Became a foe, a curse, and a prison
I desire to escape
But for now, I’m stuck in this corner, my hate
Everything is here except your presence
We’re only left with your ashes
I know there’s a war
In that little organ
Inside my chest
I know it’s not the best feeling I can get
Worst part?
I am aware of my suffering
But I cannot do anything
Since the day that I heard you are dying
I know my strength
But just like a superhero
All my days and night
I have my kryptonite And that is losing you
Somehow everyone can relate In this feeling that I hate
But my reminder is that you are great Through embracing your kryptonite
trauma didn’t make you stronger, you did Thank yourself. ”
‘’No one's gonna remember your little mistakes so just remember why you started.’’
Living is tough, I’ve always wanted to be enough
I always wanted to find someone, So in this tunnel, I won’t be alone But every time I found them There seems to be a problem
People will leave and I will grieve
I keep on looking for the yang in the yin Didn’t even realize that it was within Every time I choose to begin once more, I am restored and ready to explore.
I kept on finding my person, When all this time I have been my person.
I hate waking up in the morning, painting rainbows and sunshine on my face while my mind is carrying a fully loaded baggage - enough to bring rain in reality
I hate these dark thoughts that make me scream the roar of thunder and lightning.
I hate drowning and being pulled by the gravity of negativity, despising myself, and being pitied
I feel a lump in my throat when people ask if I am okay but I always respond with a smile when the truth is I'm so exhausted that even resting the whole day cannot cure this tiredness.
I am tired of bearing these gallons of unshed tears during daylight and a smile that hides a slit on my wrist I am tired of breathing every pain and exhaling every disappointment
I don’t have enough energy to erase the indelible memory of the past which scarred my heart and brought trauma
I hate waking up in the middle of the night crying and meeting the untamed demons underneath my pillows while breaking down, sensing my fingertips trembling and sobering in silence to avoid people hearing my pain
Hoping that one day I will be brave enough to face my demon and remove all his chains that lock me in woe
“
Make this world beautiful by simply being in it. ”
“ You are whole because of your brokenness

HIV awareness in Cainta, Rizal.
human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a significant public health issue in the Philippines, and Cainta is no exception
Despite the efforts of the government and various organizations, many people in Cainta are still unaware of the
dangers of HIV and how to prevent it As a student, it is crucial to raise awareness about HIV and its consequences HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system, making it difficult for the body to fight off infections and illnesses
HIV is mainly spread through unprotected sexual intercourse, sharing needles, and from mother to child during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding Once infected with HIV, a person can develop acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), which can be fatal Cainta, like many other areas in the Philippines, has a high prevalence of HIV cases
According to the Department of Health, there were 77 new HIV cases reported in Rizal province, where Cainta is located, in January 2023 alone This number is alarming, and it is essential to educate people about the importance of HIV prevention One of the best ways to prevent HIV is to practice safe sex
MarielleBanaag
This means using condoms every time you have sex and getting tested regularly for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) In Cainta, there are many clinics and health centers that offer free HIV testing, where people can get tested for free and confidentially
The lack of awareness and stigma surrounding HIV in not
only Cainta, but the Philippines as a whole, are among the reasons why the virus continues
to spread People are afraid to get tested for fear of discrimination and being ostracized by their families and communities This fear is rooted in the lack of understanding and knowledge about HIV and its transmission
As students, we also have a role to play in HIV awareness We can help by educating ourselves and our peers about HIV and its transmission We can also advocate for non-discriminatory attitudes towards people living with HIV and encourage others to get tested We can do this by starting conversations, sharing information, and supporting campaigns that promote HIV awareness
In conclusion, HIV awareness in Cainta is an issue that requires collective action We need to work together to combat the lack of knowledge and stigma surrounding HIV
"BeyondthePages:TheRealityofthe Moon'sDistance"
It is a common misconception that the moon is relatively close to the Earth.
Many of us have grown up with images of the moon in books and on television that make it seem like it is within our reach However, the reality is that the moon is incredibly far away, farther than we can truly comprehend "You know why, you've been lied to by text books that have to squeeze them both into the same page."
Neil deGrasse Tyson said.
To put it in perspective, let's imagine that the Earth is the size of a basketball and the moon is the size of a tennis ball In this scenario, the moon would be located approximately 23 5 feet (7 16 meters) away
from the Earth or 9 to 10 steps for an average person that strides up to 2 5 feet each step That may not sound like a lot, but it is important to remember that the Earth is much larger than a basketball In reality, the moon is about 384,400 kilometers (239,000 miles) away from the Earth
This misconception about the moon's proximity to the Earth is not limited to the general public; it is also present in many educational materials Many books and diagrams compress the distance between the Earth and moon, making it appear much closer than it actually is This is done for the sake of visual simplicity, but it can be misleading and contribute to the misperception that the moon is closer than it actually is
FACEMASKS:
President Marcos Jr. signed Executive Order No 07 on October 28, which states that wearing face masks in both indoor and outdoor situations is no longer necessary
Onions have always made us cry due to the certain chemical that it releases when sliced but now a lot of people would cry at onions because of their high prices Despite their ability to cause tears, onions can be a healthy addition to any diet
Onions are mostly made up of water, carbohydrates, and fiber Their main fibers, fructans, can feed the good bacteria in your stomach
Onions are rich in
antioxidants and antiinflammatory compounds and when consumed regularly and in the right amount, they may help lower blood sugar levels, improve bone health, and lower the risk of different types of cancer It is also said that white onions have more antioxidants than yellow or red ones
Other than the antioxidants and anti-inflammatory effects, onions also include organic sulfur These compounds are the ones responsible for onions' strong taste and smell
It is said here that they will “Allow voluntary wearing of face masks outdoor in open spaces and non-crowded outdoor areas with good ventilation, provided that notfully vaccinated individuals, senior citizens, and immunocompromised individuals were highly encouraged to wear face masks, and physical distancing shall be observed at all times ”
Eating raw onions could give you, even more, sulfur rather than cooked onions But eating too many raw onions could react with sweat on your skin which results in an unpleasant body odor
Jovan Nico Pelausa
It is important to correct this misconception as it highlights the vastness of space and our place in the universe It also serves as a reminder of the incredible technological advancements that have allowed us to explore space and the moon, and of the importance of continuing to fund and support scientific research The true distance of the moon from the Earth, in kilometers and miles, is a reminder of the beauty and enormity of our universe, and the endless possibilities for scientific discovery It is important to acknowledge the true distance of the moon, in order to inspire future generations to continue exploring and studying our universe
Mandatory or Voluntary
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) recommended further liberalization of the face mask mandate, making mask wear optional or voluntary in indoor settings except in healthcare facilities, medical transport, and public transportation by land, air, or sea
Based on Ph Health Dept Officer-in-Charge, Maria Vergeire, “ There was this verbal approval from the president when they talked to Secretary Benhur from DILG so everything is being prepared Nakipag-usap na din po tayo so we’ll wait for the issue once
Onion also contains vitamin C which is good for oral hygiene
Various researchers are studying onions because they might have memory-enhancing effects and antidepressants
Based on the feedback, talagang pabor naman ang presidente so the executive order can be issued immediately ”
As stated in the order, mask use is still recommended for the elderly, pregnant women, unvaccinated people, symptomatic people, people with comorbidities, and those who are immunocompromised
This policy of optional face mask use is a step toward normality and development that will encourage activities and increase efforts toward our economic growth and complete liberalization
Up to now, many scientists, doctors, and researchers are still studying what are more possible benefits of onions that can be helpful to us

Takraw
If you're looking for an exciting and adrenalinepumping sport, look no further than Sepak Takraw
This traditional Southeast Asian game is played with a wooden ball and two metal poles and can be quite difficult to master However, once you get the hang of it, it can provide a fun and challenging activity for you and your friends If you're interested in learning more about Sepak takraw and how to do it, read on!
Sepak Takraw originated in Malaysia, where it is known as Pencak Silat Over time, this martial art has become one of the most popular sports in Southeast Asia In 2009, it was officially included in the Asian Games for the first time
The sport is a combination of soccer, volleyball, and martial arts It’s played like volleyball, only players can’t use their hands or arms (thus the “kick volleyball” moniker) This sets the stage for some positively insane plays, including rainbowkick spikes and light-speed reactions from defending players
Sepak takraw involves hitting the ball back and forth between the two poles The player must use all their strength and skill to hit the opponent's ball out of the ring or to prevent them from scoring a point
The news about the Philippine Sports Commission's (PSC) on August 26, 2022 budget request for this busy sporting calendar of 2023 worth fivehundred forty six million pesos has been delayed by the government is concerning for sports enthusiasts and athletes alike The PSC's proposed budget was intended to support the development and training of national athletes and promote the growth of sports in the country Sports play an essential role in the lives of many Filipinos, not only as a means of entertainment but also as a source of inspiration, camaraderie, and national pride Through sports, we have produced world-class athletes who have brought glory to our country in international competitions The PSC's budget request was aimed at enhancing the sports programs and services of the agency, including the agency, including the training of national athletes for the Southeast Asian Games, the Asian Games, and the
Continued from Page 01
Olympics The budget was also intended to support grassroots sports development, including the construction of sports facilities in different regions of the country
While it is good to know that the government has not entirely denied the PSC's budget request, it is still concerning that they are stalling and taking too much time to approve it Delaying the approval of the budget request can have a significant impact on the PSC's ability to plan and implement their programs and services effectively It could also lead to the postponement or cancellation of important sports events and competitions, which would be a great disappointment to both athletes and sports fans
The PSC's budget request is crucial to the development of sports in the Philippines, and any unnecessary delay in its approval would be detrimental to the growth of the sports industry It is essential that the government recognizes the urgency of the situation and acts promptly to approve the budget request
Investing in sports development can bring multiple benefits, including promoting healthy living, creating jobs, and boosting tourism Therefore, we urge the government to expedite the approval of the PSC's budget request to ensure that the sports community can continue to flourish and contribute to the betterment of our country In conclusion, sports have the power to bring people together and inspire them to achieve their goals The government's failure to support sports development could have a negative impact on the morale of our athletes and the future of Philippine sports We call on the government to prioritize the needs of our athletes and invest in the growth of sports in the country Only through this investment can we achieve our dream of producing world-class athletes and promoting a healthier, more active nation
Points are scored when a player hits their opponent's ball out of the court or if they stop them from scoring a point Players must keep moving at all times to avoid being hit themselves If a player is hit while defending their pole, they will be eliminated from the game The game continues until only one player remains
Playing Sepak takraw is quite strenuous, so you'll want to be in good physical condition before you get started Before playing a game, it's important to stretch first to loosen your muscles and improve your flexibility You should also start training so that you can build up your strength and improve your endurance Once you've completed your training, you're ready to start playing Start by practicing the basic moves to get your game started When you're ready to play, find an opponent and play a few games to see how well you perform
