This project was entered in to the National Daltile Competition 2014, and won 3rd place. The project required an existing space to be chosen to renovate, at least two Daltile products had to be used, and a written description of the project. The Cotton Bottom is bar located in Holladay, Utah. The renovation project transformed the space into a luxurious bar and lounge.

VIE MAGAZINE This was a semester-long group project. We were to organize our own design firm in which we would be designing under. In addition to our own firm, we had to create a company to design a world headquarters for. We created a magazine company, Vie Magazine, who had just recently gone international and therefore needed a new, environmentally-conscious headquarters. This project included a concept, space planning, Revit renderings and a series of floor plans.
1 THE CONCEPT.

Defined by positive energy, and capable of nurturing communication, this space will encourage company growth and promote awareness for sustainable, beautiful living.
Initial concept sketches led us to a focus on nature, and trees, specifically. Branches, tree rings, roots, and the light that filters through leaves became a springboard for an office that is defined by positive growth, upward expansion, and sustainable design. Branches and light cut through darkness, which is the way that Vie sees the world. Rough sketches and ideas became a concept:

An adjacency matrix, bubble diagram, and block diagram helped solve issues throughout the space plannning phase. Vie Headquarters is a 16,180 sq. ft. open-plan office, with both US and International sales divisions, as well as Marketing and Art departments. The challenges presented throughout this phase included finding the most convenient circulation throughout the office, allowing for natural light to reach every employee regardless of their desk location, and creating a plan that was both efficient and interesting.

With a focus on simplicity, Vie magazine approves of design that is timeless and sleek. Furniture selections for the corporate headquarters revolve around a streamlined color and material scheme: wood, glass, white, grey, blue, and orange. The concept for this project was to design a 1,000 sq. ft., modern residence. This project included a full set of construction documents in AutoCAD, Revit renderings, hand-renderings, and a scaled model made out of foam core and plexiglass.

This is a high-end residence located in Puerto Rico. This project has been a semester-long project that we have been working on with Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz, designer in residence. This project includes floor plans and hand-renderings.

he De La Cruz family loves to travel, and what a better way to showcase that passion anywhere
other than their living room. This space is where they will do most of their entertaining and also spend family time together, so it needed to be comfortable and able to seat a lot of people, yet still feel intimate. Many antiques and nic-nacs from their travels are displayed throughout the space. This living room is an infusion of culture and tasteful, modern living.
