We are contacting you in order to bring to your attention that the International Color Association (AIC), through its Argentine member association, the Grupo Argentino del Color, is organizing the AIC Interim Meeting “COLOR AND FOOD: From the Farm to the Table”, to be held in Hotel Provincial, Mar del Plata, Argentina, from October 12 to 15, 2010. The aim of this international meeting is to promote an integrated approach in the many areas of food science and technology in which color is involved. This choice takes into account that the theme of color and food was not addressed to in any of the previous AIC meetings held since 1969 (to date, 36 congresses and meetings in 21 countries of the five continents). The 2010 Interim Meeting will cover a variety of topics from technology to design and arts, including architecture, biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, quality assurance and industry training requirements as well as social and economic aspects. Previous AIC interim meetings have been attended by a number of participants fluctuating between 100 and 300 specialists from universities, research centers, associations and companies from all continents. Oral and poster presentations are planned, with invited lectures given by the main experts in the different disciplines. There will be an exhibition area in the same building as the conference. We think that this Meeting will be very interesting to you and thus we would like to invite you to participate actively through sponsorship. Taking an exhibition booth during the event (ample space will be reserved for exhibition, where contact with the audience is guaranteed by the integration of coffee breaks and poster sessions into the exhibition).
