M

ichael King served in the Marine Corp as a combat engineer and spent most of 2003 in Iraq on a combat tour. He took on a variety of projects while in Iraq, learning his construction lessons the hard way. Andrew Pennor grew up in the construction demolition business and seemed to have the itch to start his own construction company from as far back as he can remember. Andrew Pennor and Michael King grew up together and when Andrew decided to go out on his own, he immediately thought of Michael as a business partner. Since 2004, Andrew, Michael and AMPCO Contracting, Inc. (AMPCO) have been providing commercial and industrial site demolition services for private and public agencies throughout Southern California. Through hard work and determination, the AMPCO team has earned a reputation as one of Southern California’s premier demolition contractors. Now in their tenth year in business, AMPCO has successfully completed some of the largest demolition projects in Southern California. Their expertise has expanded to large structural demolition and industrial site clearing. These projects create the opportunity for the company to vertically integrate their services throughout the entire preconstruction process.

AMPCO’s turnkey services includes all hazardous abatement, structural and select demolition and earthwork, including hazardous soil remediation, as well as finish grading and excavation. When the company can bring all of this expertise to one project, they create a model of efficiency unique to the demolition and environmental remediation industry. This efficiency model helps clients realize their tight construction www.calcontractor.com

schedules and allows AMPCO to be one of the most competitive in the industry. When you add AMPCO’s experienced interior demolition/abatement team and earthwork division, there is not a project in the market that AMPCO cannot tackle. Recently AMPCO has moved into the energy and manufacturing industry by performing the environmental abatement and decommissioning of power plants and manufacturing plants.

For many of these projects, the client requires impeccable project management expertise and strict safety guidelines, both of which are AMPCO’s strongest traits. To put it more clearly, AMPCO offers demolition, site clearing, environmental remediation and earthwork services throughout California. However the company now offers those same services in Idaho, Washington and the rest of the Western United States. They have earned and maintain a comprehensive licensing portfolio that includes: CSLB A, B, C-21, C-8, ASB Certificate, HAZ Certificate and DOSH License for abatement. Michael King is the company’s executive vice president and oversees much of AMPCO’s day-to-day operations. “We started out back in 2004 performing primarily demolition and asbestos abatement,” says King. “It soon became obvious that our heavy equipment could be used for more than just knocking down buildings. Combining earthwork and demolition is a big leap and is obviously not as easy as simply playing in a sand box.” On the demolition side, AMPCO utilizes a variety of excavators, with the bulk of their excavator fleet consisting primarily of Volvo machines. “We had Linkbelt’s in the past and are replacing these with Volvo excavators. We currently

have six Volvo excavators in our fleet with the newest addition being a 2013 Volvo EC460CL,” says King. “Our sales representative is Dan McCausland and he is not your normal everyday machinery sales person. He is knowledgeable, honest and reliable. Dan has never sold us a bill of goods and has always stood behind what he is selling. We looked at Volvo before, but when Dan moved to Volvo (Volvo Construction Equipment & Services, Inc.), we gave it a closer look and it made a lot of sense.” AMPCO also has a Volvo wheel loader and a mini excavator in their fleet of close to 75 machines. In addition, they have several Cat machines, a couple of John Deere’s and quite a few Bobcat 8

skid steers. The amount of heavy earthmoving they do is nicely illustrated by the fact that they have 12 Cat 637 scrapers and several John Deere motor graders in the lineup. Finally, AMPCO rounds out this impressive fleet with a Terex/ Power Screen crushing plant. AMPCO performs private construction work almost exclusively, with public works being done more on a selective basis. They are currently demolishing the Old Lakeland Refinery in Santa Fe Springs. The refinery closed a few years back and they have been dismantling portions of the infrastructure ever since. AMPCO was recently contracted to salvage the hydrogen plant

2014 Demolition & Recycling ISSUE CALCONTRACTOR

portion of the refinery, including the reformer and all of the fractionator columns. Additionally, they are salvaging all of the pipe rack equipment, tanks and other ancillary equipment. “Our job is to salvage everything possible and then bring the project to grade for the construction of a future industrial project,” says King. “When we eventually get into the earthwork, there will most likely be extensive soil remediation. A job like this allows AMPCO to really shine and showcase our diverse abilities.” AMPCO is also currently on a very large power plant decommissioning project up in Stockton, as well as demolishing a building that once housed www.calcontractor.com

Trader Vic’s to make room for the new $200 million Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills. They are also working off Bandini Boulevard in Los Angeles, demolishing a 300,000 sq. ft. warehouse for redevelopment. Arguably, AMPCO’s most high profile job would be their work out at The Porche Experience in Carson. Watson Land Company hired AMPCO to not only perform site demolition and environmental remediation, but also to install a GCL and Methane vapor extraction system throughout the 55-acres. “We had to import around 450,000 cubic yards of dirt before performing all the rough and finish grade work,” says King. “The work was significant in that we had to close a landfill and clear a local golf course to make room for the new race track.

www.calcontractor.com

Again we were able to showcase our vertical integration.” The success of AMPCO is even more interesting when you consider that its owners are only in their mid-thirties. But don’t let their age fool you. No one handed them this company on a silver platter. It was earned through hard work from the ground up. According to Michael King, AMPCO’s close to 200 employees are all very dedicated and ready to work safe and hard every day, knowing that there is no short cut to greatness. “It is easy to look at the owners of a company and credit them with all of the success, when in reality, there are 200 dedicated hard working team members at work behind the scenes everyday. Our foot soldiers are the ones that make it happen and the list is

just too long to mention them individually. Our people are the best in the industry and we want to recognize them as such,” says King. “There is no room for complacency in our line of work. Keeping our employees, operators and laborers safe is job one. We want to be the best at what we do and then grow sustainably as opportunities arise in the western region.” For more information on AMPCO Contracting, Inc., please visit them online at www.ampcocontracting.com or call them at their Anaheim headquarters at (949) 955-2255. Bowen Engineering & Environmental Providing The Central Valley with Honest & Reliable Demolition, Abatement and Environmental Written By: Brian Hoover Services for 22 Years

Above Inset L to R: Daniel Steele, Superintendent, Bowen Engineering & Environmental with Scott Fishel, Quinn Cat. Above: Demolishing an old cotton gin facility in Madera, Calif.

Daniel Bowen founded, Bowen Engineering & Environmental back in 1993 after working in the business for several years. His father had worked in the industry and eventually started his own company, which Daniel worked for before going out on his own. It wasn’t easy getting started and the competition was stiff, however things began to pickup 10

when Daniel’s brother, Erik came into the business as a partner in 1994. Daniel dedicated himself fully to the family business and together with his brother, Erik, they began to build on a reputation of honesty and reliability. Erik focused on jobsite production, while Daniel put his efforts toward the administrative end of the

2014 Demolition & Recycling ISSUE CALCONTRACTOR

business. Today, their roles have switched where Daniel is working the field most days and Erik is primarily in the office. Bowen Engineering & Environmental’s services range from asbestos/lead abatement, interior selective demolition and complete building demolition to plant dismantling, hazardous soil removal/remediation, www.calcontractor.com

underground tank removal, concrete cutting, excavation, custom concrete/asphalt/rock crushing, asset recovery and equipment rental. They work in both the public and private sectors of the construction industry and have completed hundreds of projects of all types and sizes. Their clients include various public agencies, public utilities, power generation facilities, developers, general contractors, health care facilities, religious organizations, agricultural companies, educational institutions and homeowners. Bowen Engineering & Environmental has come a long way from those first years in business and today, they are recognized as one of the largest and most successful demolition and remediation contractors in the Central Valley. They strive to provide top knotch service to each and every client on both large and small projects. Their repeat customer base comes from big corporate entities, public agencies and utility companies, to medium and small private clients. www.calcontractor.com

Bowen is currently on a project right now at Washington Union High School in Fresno. Coincidentally, the jobsite is located just 3 miles from Bowen’s headquarters on S. Cedar Avenue. Daniel Bowen points out that his company is putting several of their disciplines to work on this job including interior demolition, asbestos removal and site demolition that involves the removal of the front parking lot and surrounding concrete. “This is a good job for us and nicely represents the sort of work we do here at Bowen on a day-to-day basis,” says Daniel Bowen. “Ironically, my brother and I went to this very high school, so it is nice to have the opportunity to take part in its rebirth.” Bowen Engineering & Environmental has built a reputation over the past 22 years for going that extra mile for their customer. “Reliability and fairness are what set us apart and have kept us busy, even in the down times,” says Daniel Bowen. “We truly look at what is best for the customer, even if it means losing a job. I believe this core attitude

is what is going to keep us around for many years to come.” Bowen Engineering & Environmental is very busy right now and Erik Bowen believes that good slow steady growth will continue. “Protecting our clients interests, controlling and reducing their liability and exposure is what we are all about. We are of course experts in the area of environmental regulations and our clients rest easy knowing that their project will remain in compliance,” says Erik. “Excellent hands-on service and dealing with our customers as the owners of the business sets us apart from the pack. I believe that this is what has contributed to our longevity and excellent reputation in our industry thus far.” The business of demolition can take its toll on the equipment that is worked so hard every day. For this reason it is imperative that a company choose top quality equipment and a dealer that can back it with reliable service and support. Bowen has a very impressive equipment fleet made up primarily of Caterpillar

machines. Their excavators include a 330C, 325C and their newest purchase, a 2012 Cat 336E. They also own and operate five smaller compact Cat excavators that include a 308D, 301.1, 302.5, a 303 and the ultra compact 300.8 that is perfect for interior demolition jobs. In addition, Bowen has four Cat 973 track loaders with both demolition and multipurpose buckets. “The equipment expertise and service that we receive from Quinn Cat here in Fresno is truly superior to everything else on the market,” continues Erik Bowen. “We know we can always rely on Quinn Cat to keep our equipment up and running at all times. This is good for our business and just another reason why so many customers come back to us time after time. Both Quinn Cat, Caterpillar and our sales representative, Scott Fishel have contributed greatly to our success and reputation.” Bowen also offers mobile crushing services through the use of their Terex Pegson 4242 mobile crusher. This 12

allows Bowen to reuse crushed concrete as road base or fill material right on the jobsite, saving money and the environment in the process. Bowen Engineering & Environmental strives to provide safety first, followed by professional and competitive service throughout the state of California. Bowen’s primary work area is within a 200-mile radius of Fresno and they have been known to take on work as far south as San Diego and north to San Francisco and Sacramento. “We work in both the public and private sector on demolishing everything from ag-plants and food processing facilities to hospitals and schools,” says Erik Bowen. It is our vision to continue to grow our business in all areas of this business and we look forward to continuing to serve our customers in the future.”For more information on Bowen, please visit their website at www.bowendemo.com or call (559) 233-7464. SoCal Crushing Carves Out Concrete Crushing and Recycling Niche Written By: Brian Hoover

C

rushing and recycling concrete has become a commonplace practice here in California, with more than 140-million tons recycled annually in the United States. After the downturn in 2008, companies are now showing a slow, but steady upward curve as gains in tonnage were reported in both 2012 and 2013. Recycling concrete, as we all know, is an environmentally friendly practice that helps reduce construction costs down by reusing the material on the jobsite, rather than trucking it to the local landfill. Concrete aggregate collected from roads and demo sites are generally put through a crushing plant that can take days to setup on any given jobsite. Large road-portable plants can crush concrete at up to 600-ton per hour, but what if there is only 10,000 to 20,000 tons to 14

be crushed and recycled? This is where companies like SoCal Crushing come into play. SoCal Crushing started out in 2013 with the expressed purpose of crushing and recycling concrete, focusing on projects of 20,000 tons or less. They own and maintain a KPI-JCI FT4250CC track mounted impactor plant that is equipped with an adjustable interface, with the choice of open or closed circuit configurations, complete with a screen and recirculating conveyor. This compact wonder, purchased from Goodfellow Corporation, is engineered for maximum impact crushing versatility and its 18’ feeder is (according to their website) the largest in the world. Additionally this crusher features the widest range of variable speed rotors, making it one of the most efficient compact crushers on the market. The FT4250CC will also

2014 Demolition & Recycling ISSUE CALCONTRACTOR

fit on a lowboy trailer for easy site-to-site transport with a published setup time of less than 15 minutes. What it all comes down to is that SoCal Crushing customers can process material at a much lower cost with the least possible impact to their jobsite. SoCal Crushing owners Ari Asher and Nir Liani are both friends and business partners. Together, they saw the need for a crushing and recycling company that could take on the smaller jobs efficiently and profitably. “We operate a mobile crushing solution that requires very little setup time that is also easy to move from job to job,” says Asher. “Once we remove the unit from the trailer, we are online and crushing within the hour. This is a huge advantage for contractors working on smaller jobs or projects located in populated or space confined areas.” www.calcontractor.com

Left: Ari Asher and Nir Liani, Partners in SoCal Crushing. Below: Cat 938 wheel loader processing crushed concrete into product piles.

SoCal Crushing primarily focuses on manufacturing Class II base material, but also offers a variety of other construction and debris recycling options. Ari Asher’s experience is more in the high-tech arena of the business, bringing his years of management in the software engineering field to play in the daily operations of SoCal Crushing. Nir Liani brings years of experience as a residential contractor into the business. He also managed some pretty significant quarry and crushing operations in both Israel and Nigeria for over 15

years. Together the two have successfully implemented a well thought out business model that is realizing great success in just their first year of business. SoCal Crushing is currently on an ongoing crushing contract with Over and Over Ready Mix out of Sun Valley, where they are charged with continually reducing the on-site concrete

washout pile. They are also recently completed jobs in downtown Santa Monica, the Channel Islands Harbor and at the Ventura County Medical Center. In addition, the company is consistently being called out on jobsites to perform quick work for demo, public works and residential contractors throughout California.

Above: SoCal Crushing provides a complete turn key, on site, concrete and asphalt recycling services. Crushing C&D refuse, on-site, offers a range of environmental, logistical and financial benefits. Crushing also reduces pollution by drastically cutting traffic movements to and from the site.

Utilizing the right support equipment plays a big part of getting the work done quickly and efficiently. SoCal Crushing relies on Quinn Cat, their local Caterpillar dealer for their heavy machinery and support. They recently purchased a Cat 320 excavator and a Cat 938 wheel loader from Quinn that was financed through Cat Financing. “Our Cat 320 excavator feeds the crusher, while the Cat 938 loader processes the rubble and product piles,” says Asher. “We also have a Power Screen radial stacker that is available if needed, although most all of the crushed material is reused right on site and can be moved around with the loader.” SoCal Crushing will also rent equipment from Quinn Cat when the need arises. “Some jobs are bigger than others and require additional machines,” says Asher. “We can always rely on Quinn Cat to not only provide the equipment we need, but to also keep us up and running at all times. We believe in the team approach by utilizing our crusher, excavator and loader in tandem for the best efficiencies. This team approach is also important to us when 16

thinking about the vendors we choose to rely on. We have carefully and purposely chosen exceptional companies like Quinn Cat and Goodfellow Corporation to help us continue our growth and success in this competitive niche industry.” According to Mr. Asher, the concrete crushing and recycling business can be financially demanding at times. “The startup costs in a business like ours can obviously be a challenge. In addition to the initial CapEx involved, it is important that the maintenance schedule on these machines be adhered to with the highest priority,” says Asher. “As we continue to grow and take on more jobs we will lean on companies like Quinn and Goodfellow to help us grow responsibly and at a sustainable rate.” SoCal Crushing’s business will continue to grow, as more local governments promote markets for recycled aggregates. Cities like Los Angeles, Modesto and Palo Alto have already passed and implemented motions requiring a certain percentage of “crushed miscellaneous base”

2014 Demolition & Recycling ISSUE CALCONTRACTOR

be utilized on city projects. The trend will continue simply because this practice not only saves money and resources for local governments, but also saves energy and landfill space. 11.6 million tons or 29 percent of California’s waste stream is made up of construction and demolition materials. SoCal Crushing is in the business of doing what they can to help reduce these numbers, by not only recycling on-site, but also by offering competitive pricing for the disposal and later recycling of concrete and asphalt at their Sun Valley location. SoCal Crushing offers their complete mobile, portable on-site concrete crushing and screening capabilities throughout the entire Southwest. Their services include pre-sizing, sorting and general size reduction to meet your final product size specifications. They provide turnkey services that offer a full range of environmental, logistical and financial benefits. DEMOLITION Contractors

Takes On Challenging Underground Parking Structure Demolition for the City of Los Angeles Written By: Brian Hoover

N

ational Demolition Contractors has seen just about all there is to see when it comes to demolishing buildings and infrastructure in California. Although none of their work can be characterized as routine, most is fairly ordinary and familiar to this company that has built a reputation for taking on jobs that others have been known to shy away from. When the City of Los Angeles called for bids to demolish a two-story underground parking structure at Civic Center Park, National Demolition stood up and took notice. The removal of the underground facility would be necessary to make room for the implementation of an extension plan for the park located at First and Broadway. Jorge Rodriguez is the Health and Safety Director for National Demolition Contractors and he comments, “The parking garage was part of the old L.A. Times facility and is situated directly in front of City Hall. It is a high profile project that has received quite a bit of publicity and exposure,” says Rodriguez. “I believe it is one of the most challenging demo projects the City has faced over the years. The trick was finding a way to www.calcontractor.com

demo the structure and shore it up in a manner that would provide the safest possible work environment. With this in mind, the methodology also needed to be cost effective and efficient. It was a tall order.” The exact shoring process that was ultimately used is proprietary and unique to National Demolition and their crews. They were ultimately able to win the bid in no small part due to the innovative way they engineered the shoring on this job. “We performed the demolition one section at a time using basic “ABC” methods,” says Rodriguez. “We initially excavated behind the walls of the first level (second floor) and then pushed the walls forward. We had two Cat excavators with hammers breaking the concrete, while two other Cat excavators with chains pulled the concrete slab out and away. What won us this contract however was our unique shoring method that the City signed off on.” The action came after the park project received $4.3 million in Quimby fees — charged on new developments for the improvement or creation of parks — from the office of 14th District City Councilman José Huizar. The project, on the site of a former state office building razed after

the 1971 Sylmar earthquake, is slated to cost of $10 million. The city Department of Recreation and Parks anticipates that the remaining $5.7 million will come from a combination of future Quimby fees and department contributions. In 2013, the city used $6.3 million in Quimby fees to acquire the lot across from City Hall that is known mostly for being covered by graffiti (the total acquisition price was $9.95 million; Recreation and Parks contributed the remainder). Community meetings to discuss the park’s design will take place in the summer. Officials have talked about having the park work in conjunction with Grand Park, which is just north of the parcel. A timeline for opening has not been established.

19

National Demolition Contractors’ excavators pose with downtown Los Angeles in the background.

The work being done out at Civic Center Park was made possible through the use of The State Quimby Act, which provides impact fees from residential subdivision developers for the development of public recreational facilities. The parking structure demo contract was $2.7 million, which due to the shoring methods, came in at significantly lower numbers than the next closest bidder. “This was a classic win/win situation for everyone involved. We presented a fair price and we will walk away with a fair profit.” The job began in late May and should be finished and fine graded by Sept. 1. National Demolition Contractors is currently working at removing the final slab on grade. They will begin backfilling soon, requiring the importing of around 15,000 cy of dirt. A total of seven late model Cat Tier IV excavators, along with 12k lb. UB hammers and UB shears are currently on site. In addition three Cat 973 track loaders and a portable crusher are being used to crush 20

the concrete to 3-inch minus and then reuse as backfill on site. “We had more than 100 years of combined demo and engineering experience on this job and that is what enabled us to get it all done on time and on budget,” continues Rodriguez. National Demolition is used to challenges. Whether being called upon to demo the Mulholland Bridge during Carmageddon, demolishing the Marine Corp Air Station in Tustin or providing emergency services during the 60 Freeway overpass fire in Montebello, they have the tools, experience and teamwork to accomplish any task put before them. “I feel that it is important to recognize everyone on the great work they have done on this particular project,” says Rodriguez. “Our site superintendents, Richard Alarcon and Fred Gifford have done a particularly exceptional job at coordinating all of the precise and intricate details of this challenging project. Our hats also go off to estimators Russ Taylor and Darrell Martin who

2014 Demolition & Recycling ISSUE CALCONTRACTOR

worked very hard crunching the numbers.” National Demolition Company has many more high profile jobs on the horizon, like the demolition of the 240-acre Hollywood Park, including the casino, pavilion, grandstand, auxiliary buildings and racetrack. Their large backlog includes many public works projects as well, making National Demolition the forerunner in Southern California with more than 45 excavators in their massive fleet. National Demolition Contractors is based out of San Pedro and in addition to general demolition work, they also offer abatement, environmental soil remediation, recycling and green demolition, disaster relief and emergency services, as well as operated equipment rental. National Demolition can serve customers in California (CA), Arizona (AZ), New Mexico (NM), Colorado (CO), Nevada (NV) as well as nationwide. The 990K also features a redesigned cab that delivers a superior operator interface and a quiet environment, and several new features promote operator and maintenance technician safety and performance. The 773, 775 and 777 range from about 60 to 100 ton capacity. The 990K builds on the proven features of previous models and replaces the 990H. The rated payload of the new 990K is 17.5 tons—up from the 16.5-ton payload of the H Series model. The Cat C27 ACERT™ engine powers the 990K and delivers an 11 percent increase in power

compared to the previous model. Net power of 699 hp helps deliver increased production—without any change in fuel consumption. The 990K is available as a U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final version. No regeneration or operator intervention is required for the NOx reduction system and diesel oxidation catalyst equipping the Tier 4 Final model. The Cat exclusive, field-proven impeller clutch torque converter uses a lock-up clutch, providing direct drive to boost fuel economy,

trim cycle times, and reduce heat, especially in load-and-carry applications. The operator station also features the Cat Vital Information Management System, VIMS™ 3G, which provides customizable operator profiles, a cycle timer and an integral Payload Control System. The 990K is equipped with the Cat Vision rearview camera system and in-cab display to show the operator the area behind the loader. The Cat Detect object detection system, available as an option. CAT® 336E H HYDRAULIC HYBRID EXCAVATOR DELIVERS NO-COMPROMISE, FUEL-SAVING PERFORMANCE The new Cat® 336E H excavator centers on an innovative, fuelsaving “hydraulic hybrid” system that captures and reuses energy. Greater fuel efficiency is the net result—as much as 50 percent greater than the 336D. The benefits include lower fuel costs, reduced exhaust emissions and a smaller carbon footprint—all without any compromise in production, reliability, durability or operability in all applications. The 336E H was unveiled in October 2012, and its order board opened this February with factory shipments beginning in March. Both the 336F H and 336D H models will have the same hybrid Cat Electronic Standardized 24

Programmable (ESP) pump as the 336E H. The 336F H will feature a Cat C9.3 ACERT™ engine that meets Tier 4 Final/Stage IV emissions standards. Customers can expect the 336E H to use up to 25 percent less fuel compared to a standard 336E and up to a 50 percent improvement in fuel efficiency compared to a 336D in a wide variety of operating conditions. All three of the technology building blocks, 1) Conserve, 2) Optimize and 3) Reuse, are integrated together to maximize fuel savings in a variety of applications. Precisely when customers will recoup their initial investment in a 336E H depends

on fuel prices, a customer’s specific application and the number of hours the machine operates in a year. Assuming today’s fuel prices and a production application for a 336E H, Caterpillar estimates customers can realistically expect to see a return on their investment for the hybrid excavator model in as little as one year, with 18 months as typical. The new Tier 4 Final/Stage IV-compliant EC250E and EC300E crawler excavators from Volvo Construction Equipment are powerful and efficient machines, designed to reduce fuel consumption and increase productivity. New Volvo EC250E and EC300E crawler excavators deliver a 5 percent improvement in fuel efficiency over past models, saving customers both time and money. This efficiency is not only due to the Tier 4 Final/Stage IVcompliant Volvo engine, but also to a range of advanced features that optimize flow and minimize pressure losses in the hydraulic system. Chief among them is the unique Volvo ECO mode, which automatically reduces fuel consumption without any loss of performance in most operating conditions. Greater control over the machine not only improves fuel efficiency, but also cycle times for a more productive and profitable work shift. Most notably, the proportional two-pump flow makes it easier for the operator to improve the machine’s controllability, achieving a higher quality grading finish and getting the job done faster. The high

pump flow combined with the full electro-hydraulic control system also helps create faster response and cycle times. New Volvo E-Series excavators are designed for the ultimate in strength, durability and wear resistance. The heavy-duty superstructure undercover

protects components within the superstructure, and for increased durability, heavy-duty undercover plates provide additional protection to the underside of the machine in tough applications — preventing damage from rock and debris. The reinforced idler frame, track links and bottom rollers on the undercarriage are built to withstand tougher conditions for improved durability and reliability in demanding applications. The track links are also reinforced as is the bucket linkage. Other key features of the EC250E and EC300E crawler excavators include an optional air gun for cleaning the cab as well as standard equipment like handrails and bolt-on anti-slip plates for safe and easy access to the cab and superstructure; sturdy doors and hinges; and large toolbox storage for convenient daily maintenance.
