HOW TO APPLY Once you have identified a course you are interested in just follow the steps below. 1 Contact the College Admissions team on 01422 399316 if you need an application form. Fill it in and return it to the College Admissions Office at the address below (no stamp required). 2 Or log on to www.calderdale.ac.uk and apply online. 3 When we receive your application we will acknowledge it within 48 hours and then we will contact you to invite you to an Admissions Event or interview. COURSE FEES AND FUNDING FE Students aged under 24 in receipt of an eligible income-based benefit are entitled to free tuition on courses identified with this symbol (FE). • Job Seekers Allowance (letter from the Job Centre) • Income related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) • Work Related (WRAG) Work Related Acting Group 75% – Students in receipt of the following eligible income-based benefit are entitled to a 75% discount. Eligible income-based benefits are: • Council Tax/Housing Benefit (not single person) • Income Support • Working Tax Credit – subject to household income
LEVEL 2 You may be entitled to free tuition if you have not previously achieved a full Level 2 qualification. All other fees will still apply. LEVEL 3 You may be entitled to free tuition if you are aged between 19 and 24 and have not previously achieved a full Level 3 qualification. All other fees will still apply. LEARNERS AGED 24+ Learners aged 24+ at the start of a course who wish to study a level 3 or 4 course will not attract funding support, but will be able to access 24 + Advanced Learning Loans where appropriate. Direct Debit payments are available for courses priced over £90 which don’t attract 24+ Advanced Learning Loans.

FCR – Full Cost Recovery Courses • Payment has to be made in full prior to the start of the course. • There will be no remission for those in receipt of benefit, including means tested benefit. • No refunds will be made, unless the course is cancelled by Calderdale College. • Courses will only run with the full quota of learners HIGHER EDUCATION (HE) If you wish to study Higher Education, please contact Advice and Guidance for more information on Student Loans, Grants and Awards.
