CONCERTO With Lynn Schantz A Concerto is a musical composition, usually in three parts, and the Concerto quilt is a simple block made from 3 strips of contrasting color light, medium and dark. SONATA With Lynn Schantz A Sonata is a composition for an instrumental soloist, and in the same way the Sonata quilt is comprised of dynamic blocks arranged so each block is highlighted. CRESCENDO With Lynn Schantz A musical Crescendo is a passage of music performed with a gradual increase of loudness. In the same way, the Crescendo quilt starts soft in the middle and radiates out to a bold finish, using contrasts of dark and light fabric.
