The artwork for our series is an original piece by our very own Michelle Harris-Love! TODAY CALVARY WELCOMES J. BRENT WALKER. This morning, we are joined by Rev. J. Brent Walker, Executive Director of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty here in DC. Brent is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law and the University of Florida, and he also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary. As both a member of the Supreme Court Bar and an ordained minister, Brent brings a wealth of knowledge on issues regarding church and state drawing on his experience as a constitutional lawyer and congregational leader. WEDNESDAY NIGHT WORDS, BEING CHURCH: A CONVERSATION. In this two week series, February 19 and 26, we discuss what it means to be church. The first week we will focus on the biblical foundations of church and the church in today's world, and on the second week we will engage with the five values Calvary claims as a congregation.
