We are grateful you have decided to join us for Bible Study this year! The Old Testament book of Daniel is full of inspiration and practical application for us today and its visions lay a foundation for Revelation where Calvary’s sermon series is heading this year. The Bible Study is a bit simpler yet refreshing and impactful as we continue to navigate this difficult time. Our prayer is that you will be inspired by this historical account of a faithful man who lived in captivity and discover, once again, how God is in control, directing the forces of nature, the destiny of nations, and the care of his people!

How to Do this Study

In this Bible Study we continue to encourage the use of inductive (discovery) tools to learn how to dig for the treasure that God has given us. Our hope and prayer is that growth in how to study the Bible will give you a greater confidence to navigate its depths and hear from God. A reminder of Bible Study tools is available in this study guide.

Each lesson has been divided into three days of study. This is a suggestion. You may want to break it up or continue on to the next day as you spend time with it. While commentaries can be helpful, we encourage you to use the tools of discovery while seeking the Lord in prayer in order to understand God’s Word. Remember, our minds are finite compared to a God who is infinite in wisdom! Do your best. You may want to try using blueletterbible.org to look at the original meaning and cross-references. You can be a linguist with the touch of a key!

Every lesson ends with a Big Idea to bring the lesson together. You will also find some additional questions to focus on practicing the faith you believe and a prayer to commit yourself and your resolve to fully follow God.
