How To Have A Remarkable Spring Break Spring break has finally come! It’s time to break free from mind-boggling Math problems and exhausting P.E. activities. I believe you already have plans, maybe a warm escape somewhere in the countryside or something like a long night party. A one-week spring break is like a one-day spent in heaven for students and maybe to professors as well. Why not turn it into reality and experience heavenly moment in the Kingdom of God? Instead of a forgettable spring break, make it as a remarkable and life-changing event in your life. Or instead of getting unforgettable nightmares that happened on Spring break, turn it to beautiful dreams. This year, have a breath of fresh air!
4 Ways To Have A Remarkable Spring Break 1. Spend Your Spring Break Wisely What is a well-spent spring break and how to achieve it? Getting wasted during a party does not count. Staying in your room and watching movies all day is quite unproductive. A whole week of posting your selfies on Instagram does not count as well. Those are all temptations which weaken your spirit. If you think you only get strength by feeding your human body, then you’re wrong. You must also feed your spirit through the humble words of God. In 1 Timothy 6:11-12: “But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” Therefore, a wisely spent spring break means able to resist temptations. 2. Spend Your Spring Break With God’s Disciples Humans are naturally social being. You grow because of the different people you encounter and one factor that build up this growth is influence. When you spend most of your time with people who love God, then you will become more like Him. In Proverbs 22:24-25, “Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.” Nurture your spiritual life positively by spending your Spring Break with the true disciples of Jesus. 3. Spend Your Spring Break Remembering Who You Represent To make sure that every day of your spring break is worth it, keep in mind every second of the day that you are an embodiment of Jesus. That you should think more like Him, that you should speak through Him, that you should act the same way He is. Avoid all earthly things such as your old bad habits, addictions, and idols to avoid misrepresenting Jesus and giving shame to His name. In 2 Corinthians 5:20, “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” 4. Enjoy the Life-changing Experience Be lost in the presence of God. Do not restrain yourself from the possible changes that will happen in your life because you will be renewed in God’s way. This is a heavenly growth. Connect to other and learn to love them just how you love God because it is one of His commands to love each other. Enjoy your growth and how your life changes because of it. In Psalm 51:10-12, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence and do not take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit.” Have your remarkable Spring Break ever here at Calvary Road Baptist Church. Welcome to your home!
