Cambridge Little Steps Second edition explores Big Questions with very young learners and encourages them to explore the world around them. Children are immersed in the English language and start to develop the social and thinking skills they need in school, in their community and out in the world. The foundation of the course is three key pillars, underpinned by research.

• Pre-literacy: visually stimulating stories featuring a rich variety of vocabulary set the scene for developing literacy skills.

• Creativity: creative activities are designed to start developing little problem solvers! They learn to concentrate, collaborate and look at things in new ways.

• Oracy: listening skills and group dynamics play a big part in communication. Focusing on oracy skills early gets children used to speaking and interacting confidently.

Making a strong start on this unique combination of skills means young learners have the best possible head start in their school careers.

Enhanced digital support in the new second edition for teachers, learners and parents

• Present the beautiful course to the whole class with Presentation Plus, which includes new interactive games, activities and rewards. Children can enjoy the videos and songs from the course at home, along with extra practice.

• New learner and teacher resources include writing worksheets and phonics flashcards, an updated Activity Book with new stickers, extended phonics practice and materials to support phonics learning. With even more support for oracy teaching and opportunities for literacy practice.

Ready, Steady, Grow! follows best friends Sofia and Daniel on their adventures at home, in class and out exploring alongside Hug, a cuddly sloth, and Hummy, an energetic hummingbird.

This pre-primary English course helps children flourish in their personal development and learning, nurtures the potential in all children and helps them build the skills they need to be ready for school.

• Children build resilience through well-being lessons and activities in every unit.

• Manage your mixed ability class with ‘Extra’ activities and support in the Teacher’s Book.

Cambridge Primary Path Second edition encourages young learners to explore Big Questions. Children encounter a rich variety of language and develop the skills they need to become articulate speakers and writers of English. The course is founded on three key pillars, underpinned by research.

• Oracy: the oracy syllabus is based on our unique Oracy Framework, developed alongside experts from the University of Cambridge. Through observing and practicing oracy in action, students develop the physical, cognitive and social-emotional skills needed to become effective collaborators and communicators.

• Literacy-based approach: authentic fiction and nonfiction texts explore a range of genres. As learners develop a rich vocabulary through reading, they improve their ability to understand and express thoughts and ideas in a variety of written forms.

• Creativity: activities are developed around several creativity principles, which encourage students to experiment, immerse themselves in tasks and find the fun in learning about the world. Each child has a Creative Journal, to use in their own way and in their own time.

This unique combination of pillars ensures children learn in a fulfilling environment that builds the skills they need to thrive, now and in the future.

cambridge.org/evolvedigital

Because online teaching has evolved

Evolve Digital is a flexible online course that combines independent learning with synchronous, teacher-led lessons to get students speaking with confidence. Expectations around online language courses have evolved rapidly in recent years. Our insights-led approach to content development has helped us create a course that meets the changing needs in language schools and higher education institutions.

• ‘Real teacher’ content helps guide and motivate students through their independent learning. Studying online can sometimes feel very lonely, so we’ve included videos at the start and end of each unit, and lots of friendly support throughout.

• Timely, relevant and helpful feedback is key to keeping students motivated. Feedback needs to go beyond marking answers right and wrong, so we’ve incorporated regular feedback that also explains the answers.

• Students consider their ability to speak as evidence of their progress in English, regardless of where and how they’re studying. The course therefore makes use of the latest speech recognition technology, building students’ confidence to interact in real-world scenarios.

• Evolve Digital keeps students motivated with plenty of variety in language input and practice activities, making the most of multimedia, including lots of video, from drama and documentaries to people-on-the-street videos, and much more. This helps to sustain engagement and get the very best outcomes.

Digital pedagogy you can trust

• The flexible online course combines independent asynchronous learning content with synchronous, teacher-led lessons. Evolve Digital covers all four skills and provides instructions and guidance as well as practice and production opportunities.

• Ready-made synchronous lessons and teaching notes for in-person and virtual classes are another great time-saving feature. They both minimize time spent on lesson preparation and are also flexible enough to be quickly and easily adapted to meet your specific teaching needs.

• Unit progress tests, as well as mid-term and final tests, help both students and their teachers measure progress and success.

Easy administration

• Evolve Digital is delivered through Cambridge One, which makes setting up classes and monitoring students straightforward and intuitive.

• Much of the course is auto-marked and teachers can easily track the progress of individual students, or see the performance of the whole class at a glance.

• For productive speaking and writing tasks that are submitted to the teacher, giving a score and feedback is simple and can be done just as easily on a smartphone as on a laptop or desktop computer.

A flexible online solution that’s right for you and your institution’s needs You can use Linguaskill to check that students studying Evolve Digital have progressed and are ready for their next step. Copying

The law allows a reader to make a single copy of a part of a book for purposes of private study. It does not allow the copying of entire books or the making of multiple copies of extracts. In some countries it is possible for schools to do a limited amount of photocopying if they are registered with the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA), or an associated licensing agency. If your school does not have a school licence you can only photocopy pages for your students if the page is marked ‘photocopiable’. You are allowed to make one copy of an audio disc for back-up purposes only. No copying of videos or DVDs is permitted.
