SCHOOL OF
Architecture
Studying architecture today is about much more than learning how to build buildings or design landscapes. It’s about framing the arguments for their existence, about urban density, energy performance, and sustainability. Most of all, it’s about change. At Northeastern’s School of Architecture, students choose from undergraduate degree programs — Architecture, Architectural Studies, and Urban Landscape — that engage with the many changes we face in our culture, commerce, and built environment.

The faculty at Northeastern’s School of Architecture excel in practice, teaching, scholarship, and research. They lead students to develop scalable, sustainable solutions to today’s urban challenges while exploring the opportunities inherent in contemporary cities.
Global Experiences Study abroad is an integral part of the undergraduate education in the School of Architecture. All students enrolled in our program spend one semester abroad in Berlin as part of their curriculum. Students may also choose to do an international co-op in the field, a three-month Dialogue of Civilizations in China exploring Chinese culture and architecture, or any number of global experiences available throughout the university.
