II° Edition of MASTERPIECE OF WORLD OPERA on the occasion of Christmas Celebrations December 10th 2015, 7h00pm National Sofia Opera and Ballet The idea of Masterpiece of World Opera comes from the implementation of cooperation and networking initiatives promoted by the Italian and French Chambers of Commerce that, according to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by both parties, intend to encourage a greater promotion of Bulgaria and its business opportunities in different sectors among Italian, French and international business community and let, at the same time, creation and conclusion of business among entrepreneurs step forward.

Masterpiece of World Opera aims at continuing the first edition of this social business networking event realized in 2014 and also the tradition of great cultural and artistic events carried out by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria in past years 2003, 2005 and 2009 that proved to be an opportunity to further highlight the presence of the Italian community in Bulgaria.

Masterpiece of World Opera has, therefore, objectives as follows: Enhance deep relationship between this typical Italian art and the Bulgarian public, which started to appreciate it since mid-nineteenth century and it continues nowadays to admire and follow it.

Enhance cultural and artistic exchanges among Italy, Bulgaria and France on this field; Develop initiatives in order to create an intercultural dialogue and business relationships among business communities located in Bulgaria; Increase networking events between Chambers of Commerce in order to promote Bulgarian country and its opportunities for entrepreneurial development among Italian, French and Bulgarian business communities; Encourage economic and cultural relationships growth between European Countries both bilaterally and multilaterally; Anticipate Christmas celebrations in a unique and magic atmosphere.

Chorus and Orchestra of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, together with tenor and soprano voices, open the Masterpiece of World Opera proposing well-known toast of the first act of “La Traviata”, “Libiamo nei lieti calici” by Maestro Giuseppe Verdi, Figaro’s Aria “Largo al Factotum” from “The Barber of Seville” by Giachino Rossini will follow, together with the duet of Micaela and Don José “Parle moi de ma mère” from the opera “Carmen” by Bizet.

Moreover, bohemian song “Les tringles des distres tintaient” from “Carmen” by Bizet, two arias from “Faust” by Gounod – “O Dieu!Ah! Je ris de me voir” and “Avant de quitter ces lieux”, Elvira’s aria “Ernani! Ernani, involami” from “Ernani” together with triumphal march “Gloria all’Egitto” from “Aida” Opera by Verdi, two scenes worldwide known as to be the best Italian tradition always eternal and touching.

The “ouverture” from “Carmen” by Bizet open the second part of this unique event where the audience will be delighted by different arias and performances coming for the best of Italian and French artists internationally known: from Dalila’s aria “Mon coeur s’ouvre a ta voix” of the Opera “Samson and Dalila” by Saint Saens to the aria “La donna e’ mobile” from “Il Duca di Matova” by Verdi, from the Chorus Gypsy “Vedi le fosche notturne spoglie” of “Il Trovatore” by Verdi to the aria of “Princess de Bouillon”, “Acerba volutta” by Cilea.

Greatest performances of the Song “La Vie en Rose” by Edith Piaff, performed by Mariana Panova (soprano) and “O sole mio” by E. Di Capua, interpreted in unison, will be part of closing part of the Masterpiece of World Opera.

The group of soloists are really well know all around the world. Mariana Panova (Soprano), Daniela Dyakova (mezzosoprano), Ivan Momirov (tenor), Atanas Mladenov (baritone).

The conductor Luciano Di Martino, graduated at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre, has worked in Germany, Italy, French, Spain, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Russia and US.
