Where Now Are the Dreams of Youth • 春の夢いまいづこ

OZU Yasujiro (Japan 1932 | 113 min | B&W | Eng. sub.) When a young man inherits his father’s lucrative business, he cheats the system to set up three of his college friends with jobs. Classic silent film by the great OZU Yasujiro, from a script by his frequent collaborator NODA Kôgo. Where Now Are the Dreams of Youth is a great example of the gradual shift in OZU’s career: it starts off as one of his many student comedies, but ends as a layered melodrama. Sun. 25/09, 11:00, Lobby LantarenVenster / Rotterdam €29.50 incl. Brunch & Film screening of ‘Nagi’s Island’. The film starts at 12:30

Piano - Aseo Friesacher, Vocals - Waka Otsu, Flute - Ayumi Matsuda, Percussion - Bintang Manira
