Model wears Arabian Rouge Fabric: cashmere Size: 194cm x 72cm These beautiful, hand-woven shawls feature a hand embroidery technique known as sozni, which is traditional to the Vale of Kashmir. Fine needlework is used to embroider motifs along the borders or over the entire garment. Taking days, weeks or even months, the value of each shawl is determined by the amount and quality of the embroidery. Each piece in our Cashmere Sozni range is a unique, one-off creation.

These fine merino wool shawls feature aari embroidery - a speciality of Kashmiri artisans who create it in fine, concentric rings of chain stitch using a long hooked needle known as a crewel. Taking days, weeks or even months, the value of each shawl is determined by the amount and quality of the embroidery.
