I'm Camo, photographer and visual artist based in Colombia
Through my artistic photographic work I openly promote Colombian Queer culture and counterculture, social and sexual diversity and is strongly involved in the world of art & fashion. I linked all these different contexts in his intimate, raw and sometimes more polished works that emerge from my personal life experiences in the problematic, but the vibrant social-political climate here in Colombia. Recently I´ve been focussing more on my passion for media and video experimentation and through my interest for Ethnofiction, a concept that declares a union between ethnography, art media and fiction, I try to express my personal view on forms of alternative visual anthropology, center all the creative energy around portraiture. In these photographs, weaves natural beauty, spontaneous acts, and every day, into often provocative imagery that he elevates to the spheres of art and fashion.
