Great reasons to prepare with UHCL’s prep course... UHCL’s SAT Prep Course is different than other programs ● 24 hours of instruction. We maximize our time together with instruction including ‘timed’ exercises, not multiple sessions of assessment practice exams. ● “400 words in 40 days”. ● SAT Reading can be easier than the reading requirements for Advanced Placement English, when you know how to break down the passages and questions. ● Essays, including college papers and scholarship applications, require more savvy and skill to stand above the rest. Jennifer will teach you how to artfully craft essays that stand out on the SAT within the 25 minute time limit. Your new writing skills can launch you into scholarship awards and outstanding grades in the future. ● Math can seem daunting until you’ve experienced Jennifer’s “3 U’s” technique. We’ll cover all math elements, from numbers and operations through algebra and geometry, to data analysis, statistics and probability. No one will be taunted by a forgotten math element or overwhelmed by extra data added to distract. ● Bring your graphing calculators to class. Jennifer will assure you are able to use them like a pro to move through the math section with ease. ● We haven’t forgotten assessing your progress. Along with your textbook, class materials and homework, each student will receive a copy of The Official SAT Study Guide including 10 released practice tests and answers. You and your parents can be assured you are prepared for the SAT exam.
