Thank You It has been an honor to serve as Chair for the 33rd annual An Artists’ Christmas. It is through the opportunities to give back to our community that I find my joy. And planning this event has been nothing less than a joyful experience -- one I have been fortunate to share with a dedicated committee and helpful Camp Fire staff. My precious friends and family have been a wonderful support to me throughout this process as well. Camp Fire First Texas has been a cornerstone organization for youth development in North Texas since 1914. This event, An Artists’ Christmas, is the Council’s largest fundraiser, with all proceeds from the event going directly to support programming - including camping, after school programs, teen services, environmental education, early childhood education, and school readiness - for boys, girls, and adults. When asked to support Camp Fire, I gladly say, “Yes,” because it is in Camp Fire that children and youth find a unique place that blends safety, fun, and inclusiveness - a place where they form lasting relationships, develop a sense of belonging, and make positive contributions to the lives of their families and their communities. Camp Fire youth have life-enhancing experiences and develop assets essential to their futures. There are a number of others who answered this request of support. To each of our artists, sponsors, donors and guests who make An Artists’ Christmas a magical event, thank you! It is because of your support Camp Fire is able to improve our communities by changing young lives for the better. Inside and out. Sincerely, Lynda Tiedtke Event Chair
Thank You Our connection with Camp Fire goes back more than 30 years, and began when David attended Camp El Tesoro as a child. It is a rare and special occurrence to reconnect so personally as adults with an organization from your youth. We are so excited for the opportunity to continue this relationship and serve as the Honorary Chairs for the 2017 An Artists’ Christmas event. Connection to nature is a value that seems to have lost its importance in today’s technology-driven world. Camp Fire reaches youth of all ages at every milestone, and instills the values of work, health and love through their programs. We believe in the Camp Fire promise, and in the organization’s focus of reconnecting youth with the outdoors. We are honored to represent the Council through our service. We would like to thank Lynda Tiedtke, Chair of the 33rd annual An Artists’ Christmas, the art selection and event planning committee, artists, event sponsors, and Camp Fire staff for their support in this event. Sincerely, Noel and David Nolet Honor Chairs
