April Tour Highlights Get out & see Japan!
April is probably the most beautiful month of the year in japan. just about eveywhere you go, where there are sakura (cherry blossoms) trees, when the blossoms are in full bloom, it is a sight to see! Check out our tours to some of the most popular areas.
Cherry Blossom Viewing (Chiyoda, Tokyo) Experience the beauty of the cherry blossom season at some of the most popular viewing spots in Chiyoda, Tokyo! Join our friendly escort on a stroll through the Imperial east gardens. Nearby at Kitanomaru Park, we’ll venture through the museum or just relax and take in the scenery! Also, check out the Chidorigafuchi Park where you can take a boat ride under a 400 meter stretch of cherry blossom trees. Many food vendors also will be there offering a variety of choices for lunch.
Senbonzakura Stroll Senbonzakura is the cherry blossom view point with a thousand cherry blossom trees lining a 1.5 kilometer path along both sides of the Hikiji River banks. Branches cross above the 5 meter wide river and form a pink flower tunnel this time of the year. We will take a 45 minute walk and enjoy lunch under the flower tunnel. After the lunch break, we will head to Josenji Temple, also known as the flower and Kappa Temple. Oriental paperbush and 330 Kappa statues will be waiting for your visit!
Kamakura Horseback Archery Festival Appearing to be a martial art, this unique festival is actually considered to be a religious exercise for a warrior. Dressed in the elegant hunting attire of the samurai, the horsemen parade past the crowd and soon after, display their archery skills on horseback. There’ll be many street vendors selling food, drinks, souvenirs, toys and religious items. Also featured at the festival will be gorgeous “Ikebana” (flower arrangement) displays, a Taiko Drum group performance that will astonish the crowd with their characteristic martial flair, and several traditional dance performances.

Tip of the Month
Demo Day Club Fitting
April marks the start of the golf season and our favorite equipment sales reps will organize another demo day, so you can try the new equipment, but how do you decide what is best for you? Here’s a quick guide: Driver optimization: High Launch, Low Spin. That’s what it’s all about. Try a driver with more loft, a low kick point and see how far it carries. Not impressed? Dial it down or switch shafts. It’s that easy. Fairway/Hybrids: How to find out which is better, a 5 wood, 4 hybrid or your 3 iron? There’s only one way, just try them all, but make sure you find the right shaft to match your swing speed. Irons: Every year the industry markets new irons that are more forgiving, yet players still hold on to the belief that certain models such as blades are too difficult to hit. Trust me, golf is hard with any club, so you might as well play with clubs that look beautiful, provide good feedback and help you strike the ball better and today, you can even mix and match models just like the pros. Wedges: Hopefully you paid attention in math class, if not, don’t worry, we can help guide you through all the lofts, lies and bounce angles and match a wedge to Zama’s course playing conditions and your type of swing. Putters: Do you prefer a mallet or a blade style putter? Does it match your arc style putting stroke? Do oversize grips really help you make more putts? Bring your trusted putter and compare it to the new models and see which one gives you the best feedback. Demo days provide you with a unique opportunity to discover whether or not you can “blame the arrow” or if you need to keep working on your mechanics and of course we can all improve if we just had more time to practice, but we don’t, so why not make life easier and find out if a custom fit set can help bring more enjoyment without all the hard work, oh, and it is important to note that a custom set comes at no additional charge and can be delivered quickly. We appreciate your support and patronage and look forward to seeing you soon.

French Dip Did you know how the French Dip was born? Back in 1918, restaurant owner inadvertently dropped the French Roll into the pan of dripping juice. The patron police officer took that sandwich anyway and returned the next day asking for more. So the French Dip was born accidentaly!! There’s several theories of how the name originated. 1. Owner’s French heritage. 2. French Roll was used. 3. Officer’s name was French.
