LETTER
from the EDITOR
HAPPY
March was full of lots of activities. We celebrated St. Patrick's day and got to share our talent in the open mic night. Our Dinosaurs came out to surprise our hard-working residents and we got to make art with regular canvases or t-shirts.
Onward to April!
April is a busy month, with moving into exams and finishing up the semester.
Our CAs are here to help you through this crazy time. We have many events ready to go to help you through the crazy. Make sure to come out for a brief time and get away from studying for a moment.
Throughout the month we will have a food and clothing drive. If you are moving out this is a great way to help support our community and make your packing easier. If you are staying, well, this is a good spring cleaning opportunity.
Have a good April and good luck with all your exams.
Remember to take breaks and rest your mind and enjoy the sunshine.

MEET THE STAFF! MEET THE STAFF!
Hi! I am a 33-year-old Journalism Graduate working on a personal project website, called The Point of Meaning. Check it out: thepointofmeaning.com
I am interested in studying psychology, philosophy and writing about the human condition.
If I had a super power...
I would choose levitation! I've had recurring dreams where I can fly/levitate and it's utterly thrilling.
If you could live anywhere...
I am torn between living in Nova Scotia and California.
If you could master anything... I would learn every language and become a master communicator!
What is your favourite video game?
Red Dead Redemption 2! Aside from horses, cowboys and riding into the Wild West sunset, this richly detailed game reminds me of my horseback adventures and childhood in the Romanian countryside.
Come by and say hi sometime! :)

Earth D Ap Serve
Earth Day is an annual event celebrated globally on April 22nd to raise awareness and inspire action towards environmental protection. First observed in 1970, Earth Day is now recognized as the largest civic event in the world, with over 1 billion people participating in various activities and initiatives to demonstrate their support for the planet. The purpose of Earth Day is to emphasize the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability. It serves as a reminder that our actions, as individuals and as a society, have a significant impact on the planet and its ecosystems. Through educational events, community cleanups, tree plantings, and other initiatives, Earth Day encourages individuals to take simple actions that can make a difference in protecting the environment.
One of the key messages of Earth Day is the need to shift towards sustainable practices and reduce our reliance on non-renewable resources. This includes adopting green technologies, reducing waste, conserving water and energy, and promoting the use of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power. The goal is to create a more sustainable future for generations to come.
Earth Day also serves as a platform to highlight environmental issues and advocate for policy change. By raising awareness about issues such as climate change, deforestation, and pollution, Earth Day empowers individuals to take action and demand change from their elected representatives.

Keeping in touch
As the school years slowly comes to an end, we must bid farewell to some of our fellow residents who, whether due to graduation or finding another place to live, will soon be leaving the CampusOne community. However, just because someone no longer lives here does not mean that the friendships and bonds you have created here must end. Here are a few tips to keep in touch with friends after they are no longer your neighbors.
MESSAGING APPS
The most basic way to keep in touch with others in modern day is the simple messaging app. However, there are so many different options nowadays and you can’t always be guaranteed that everyone has or enjoys the same one So just make sure that you’re all on the same page here. Having multiple friends all on a single channel also helps keeps everyone engaged.
MEET UP IRL
As much as a lot of our relationships are online now, nothing beats just meeting up IRL Through your stay here, I’m sure you and your friends have found placed outside of CampusOne that you all enjoy hanging out in. Just because your friends found another place to live doesn’t mean you all still can’t go there. Some suggestions if you don’t have any particular place in mind is the ScotiaBank theatre Catch a movie with your friends on the weekends, it’s a great way to keep in touch Or why not visit their new place and throw a housewarming party.
CALL THEM
There may be a reason why you and your friend are no longer able to meet up in person anymore Maybe they’ve moved to another province or another country entirely In that case, it would be best to just hop onto a call with them. Texting can only get you so far, and calling is a far more social activity. While you can just call your friends to catch up, there are a multitude of other things you can do with your friends in an online call You can use a watch party app and stream something from Netflix or Amazon Prime and watch it together. Or, if you’re into games, why not try a multiplayer or co-op game. If big games aren’t your thing, there’s a multitude of smaller games you can play with a few friends, like JackBox or Gartic Phone, which were made for small groups of friends who don’t usually play video games
