INGREDIENTS 1/3 CUP WALNUT HALVES 1/2 CUP PACKED FRESH BASIL LEAVES, PLUS A FEW SPRIGS, FOR GARNISH 1 CLOVE GARLIC, SMASHED 1 1/2 CUPS CHOPPED RAW BROCCOLI FLORETS AND TENDER STEM (ABOUT 4 OUNCES) 1/4 CUP LOW SODIUM VEGETABLE BROTH 1/4 TSP FRESHLY GRATED NUTMEG

1/4 TSP OF RED PEPPER FLAKES 1/2 SMALL LEMON (1 TBSP) 2TBSP EXTRA-VIRGIN OLIVE OIL 3 TBSP FRESHLY GRATED PARMIGIANOREGGIANO, ROMANO OR GRANA PADANO CHEESE 10 OUNCES WHOLE WHEAAT OR TRICOLOR PASTER

INSTRUCTIONS 1.REHEAT THE OVEN TO 350 DEGREES F. SPREAD THE NUTS OUT ON A SMALL BAKING PAN AND TOAST LIGHTLY, ABOUT 5 MINUTES. SET ASIDE TO COOL.

3. COOK THE PASTA IN A LARGE POT OF SALTED WATER ACCORDING TO THE PACKAGE DIRECTIONS. DRAIN, RESERVING 1/2 CUP OF COOKING LIQUID.

2. PULSE TOGETHER 1/4 CUP OF WALNUTS AND THE GARL;IC IN A FOOD PROCESSOR; ADD THE BROCCOLI, BASIL, BROTH, NUTMEG, RED PEPPER FLAKES, IF USING, 3/4 TEASPOON OF SALT AND THE LEMON JUICE, AND PULSE UNTIL COMBINED. SLOWLY DRIZZLE IN THE OIL THROUGH THE FEED TUBE WITH THE PROCESSOR RUNNING AND PUREE UNIL A SLIGHTLY CHUNKY SUACE FORMS, SCRAPING DOWN THE SIDES OF THE BOWL AS NEEDED. AS 2 TABLESPOONS OF THE CHEESE AND PULSE UNTIL INCORPORATED.

4. TOSS THE PASTA WITH THE PESTO IN THE DRY POT OR A MIXING BOWL, ALONG WITH SOME OF THE RESERVED COOKING LIQUID. ADD THE REMAINING COOKING LIQUID IF NEEDED AND ADDITIONAL SALT TO TASTE. 5. TRANSFER THE PASTA TO INDIVIDUAL BOWLS AND SPRINKLE WITH THE REMAINING WALNUTS AND SCATTER ON TOP. GARNISH WITH BASIL LEAVES AND SERVE.

RELAY FOR LIFE WHAT IS RELAY FOR LIFE?

RELAY FOR LIFE IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO ACTIVELY BE A PART OF FUNDRAISING FOR CANCER RESEARCH. IT IS A CHANCE TO COME TOGETHER AND CELEBRATE THE SURVIVORS.

WHY DO WE FUNDRAISE?

RAISE MONEY FOR CANCER RESEARCH ENSURE NO ONE HAS TO FIGHT CANCER ALONE STOP CANCER BEFORE IT STARTS. RAISING MONEY FOR CANCER PREVENTION.

HOW TO GET INVOLVE?

SEARCH FOR YOUR EVENT LOCATION. CHOOSE YOUR PARTICIPATION TYPE. CREATE A CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY ACCOUNT OR SIGN IN WITH THE ONE YOU ALREADY HAVE. FOLLOW THE REST OF THE REGISTRATION PROMPTS.

ABOUTÂ CENTENNIAL PLACE'S RELAY FOR LIFE INITIATIVE CENTENNIAL PLACE IS PARTNERING UP WITH A MEMBER OF THE UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO STUDENTS BASE TO HOST OUR VERY OWN RELAY FOR LIFE EVENT. THIS WILL BE HELD IN THE ATHLETICS AND WELLNESS CENTRE. THIS WILL ENTAIL SERVERAL EVENTS CATERED TO WARDS OFFERING SOLIDARITY TO THE SURVIVORS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY WITH ENTERTAINMENT AND REFRESHMENTS.

R.A.D

RAPE AGGRESSION DEFENCE Rape Aggression Defence otherwise known at R.A.D is a program tailor towards women . It is realistic self-defence techniques and tactics for women to use if the situation arises. The R.A.D System is a comprehensive course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while advancing into the basics of hand-on defence training. The R.A.D sessions are broken down into four 3-hour courses. In order to complete the program, one must commit to and completer all four sessions. The Centennial College Security in accordance with Centennial place will be hosting this program for residents to attend.
