Renew Before your Lease Ends and Get a Better Rate for Fall!

Renewing your lease agreement prior to your agreement ending provides you, the resident, a number of perks that those in the General Market don’t get! Price, peace of mind, and convenience. Renewing your lease is quick, and straight forward and you have the convenience of doing it in person, and receiving confirmation there on the spot. One of the major benefits of renewing is price! As a renewal, you will receive a better instalment rate than those applying for their first time stay. We enjoy having return students, as it allows us to build further relationships with you, but we also trust that you are going to give Centennial Place the respect it deserves. Avoid the extra cost, and renew your lease today!

Important Updates Suite Climate Control Air Conditioning (A/C) will be turned on this upcoming Tuesday, June 4, 2019. As we are still experiencing a cooler-than-average seasonal temperature and the evenings are dipping into single-digits, we are waiting for this weekend to pass prior to turning on the A/C. Please be aware, once the A/C is turned on, your in-suite thermostat will no longer function in ‘heat’ mode.

BBQ Policy As we approach the Summer months, we encourage our residents to use the gas BBQ in the Courtyard as your leisure. We ask that you be considerate of noise when playing music or having small gatherings, as noise carries greatly in the Courtyard. To that end, we will be locking the BBQ’s use after 10:00 PM nightly, and it will be turned on again each morning by 9:00 AM. Our Noise Policy is still in effect at all times, including the 24/7 Courtesy Hours expectation.

Late Fees Commencing June 1st - Per the Residence Agreement, late fees of $50 will be charged to residents delayed in making payment beyond the 1st of the Month when payment is due. Failure to provide the Bookkeeper with evidence of incoming funding (OSAP, Scholarship, etc.) or confirmation of funds available for transfer in your College account will result in the late fee being applied to your Resident Balance. It is imperative you make your payment on time to avoid this late fee.

Fathers' Day June 16, 2019

“There’s something like a line of gold thread running through a man’s words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to pick up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself.” – John Gregory Brown

The Importance of Suite-mate Agreement Living in residence involves sharing space and being respectful of each others personal space. A suite-mate agreement is a document that allows you and your resident assistants to attain a series of "dos and don'ts" for you suite. This is beneficial for the following reasons: Creates discussions among residents who may not have interacted otherwise Ensures everyone in the suite has an understanding of each others needs Creates a healthy environment for residents Allows residents to have a safe outlet to discuss their needs as it relates to health and safety, noise, privacy and personal space and many other categories Helps to set ground rules and expectations for the persons living in the suite
