Welcome, Valued Partners and Supporters
Thank you for your interest in exploring the benefits of partnership with us throughout our 2023-24 fiscal year. More than one million Canadians are estimated to be living with lymphedema. Despite the progress we’ve made together, this condition remains under-recognized, under-treated, and under-funded.
The support of industry partners like you remains vital to our ability to deliver on our core mission to improve the management of lymphedema and related disorders in Canada.
When you support the Canadian Lymphedema Framework (CLF) through advertising, sponsorship or exhibiting partnership, you are helping to shape the future of lymphedema care in Canada. Over the coming year, you can expect to see the CLF continue to develop our projects in the areas of research, education, and partnerships.
The highlight of our year will be our 2023 National Lymphedema Conference: Moving Forward Together
The Conference will take place in Toronto on November 3-4, and will provide you with a unique opportunity to connect with our audience of professionals and patients directly and in person. The Scientific Committee is developing a rich program of content for both a professional and a patient stream. Health professionals can expect sessions related to psychosocial adaption to chronic disease management, cancer, obesity, lipedema, wounds, exercise, best practices, cellulitis, prevalence, palliative care, and sexuality, among other topics. Research updates will be offered as well as an update on surgery in Canada. Challenging cases such as head and neck and genital lymphedema will also be addressed. Round-table discussions are planned to consider compression garment fitting and the development of a Canadian patient registry.
The patient delegates’ stream will include a general orientation for newly diagnosed patients and first-time attendees, exercise and aqua lymphatic workshops, and a content stream focused on topics of selfmanagement. Stay up to date with news and program developments at www.canadalymph.ca/conference
The Conference will offer delegates the opportunity to network and to discover the latest products and services with direct access to speak with manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and organizations in our extensive Exhibit Hall. The Exhibit Hall area will be the centre of many scheduled networking opportunities including the Welcome Networking Reception on Friday evening, arrival refreshments, and all morning and afternoon scheduled refreshment breaks
