Dear Colleagues, CANSO is pleased to announce the second annual MEAUSE Workshop Forum from 3-4 April 2016 in Cairo, Egypt, kindly hosted by NANSC. The objective of MEAUSE (Middle East ANSPs, Airspace User and Stakeholder Engagement) is to bring all aviation stakeholders together - regulators, ANSPs, airports, military and civil airspace users and suppliers – to share experiences and views, to exchange best practice and learn from one another, to evaluate emerging issues, to agree on joint activities and to take the next step towards successful regional stakeholder collaboration. MEAUSE also acts as a platform for consultation and the discussion of regional emerging needs and latest projects. With the aim of supporting Middle East stakeholders in their efforts to improve and transform air traffic management (ATM) in the region, the MEAUSE Annual Workshop Forum 2016 will offer panel discussions on regulatory frameworks, safety and performance, remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) or drones, air traffic flow management/collaborative decision making (ATFM/CDM), loss of control in flight (LOC-I), and remote air traffic control towers, and will conclude with meetings of the Middle East Safety Workgroup and the MEAUSE Steering Group.
